GR86 New car underseal

They had it for about 2 and a half to 3 hours, was quoted 3 hours. They charged me about £270 which I thought was very reasonable actually, given its supposed to last a couple of years. Robert seemed very thorough and knowledgeable on the topic as you'd expect.

Also worth noting, they removed the rear lights which initially thought was odd, but like the gt86, there's a small gap where you can spray to get to the inside of the arches too!

Would recommend, but equally know that lots take the DIY option and I'm sure that works okay too

Thank you.

I would happily pay that but it’s a bit far away. I’ve found a place where I can hire a ranp to make this easier. Decided the Bilt Hamber Dynax gets good views. I’m confused on the different options. Looks at the website but not the wiser on which spray I should be buying. Can anyone help?

I might need a hire one to help me deal with the new 20mph speed limits where we are 😋

The UC seems to be a slightly thinner film, but 'dries' clear so it probably more aesthetically pleasing on visible bits - the UB 'dries' to a light brown colour - personally have used UC everywhere I can get to on the 86 - preferred the look. Used the UB on the Mercedes as I don't really care about that so much... Never used the S50 - always seems a more industrial product to my uninitiated eyes.
Never used a bad BH product - they're pretty good at doing what it says. If in doubt contact them, they've always been really helpful in the past.

Yes the UC is clear and the UB is brown.
Clear is better on a new vehicle like this.

Make sure you wear a mask and goggles as when I did mine, I felt pretty sick afterwards from the fumes.

The UC is great - it dries clear and looks “OEM”. I’ve used it to great effect on one of my previous cars, a VW Up! GTI.

I’ve used S50 to inject into the sills of my current daily drive, a Citroen C1, which are prone for rusting in this area. It’s pretty vile stuff - brown, stinks and messy. I wouldn’t recommend it on something you are aesthetically bothered about, or in an area which is visible.

I did a coverage of Dynax UC on mine the day after collecting it. Not too in depth, I didn't take the arch liners off for example. But covered all the metalwork I could see when taking each wheel off, and the sills and metal underguards.

Went through one whole can easily, but that was just about enough for the surface level coverage I gave.

One thing I didn't quite consider is this stuff gets everywhere. I wore a respirator but all of my clothes were sticky, along with much of the cars paintwork. So then of course had to give it a full machine polish etc. As you do...

Pic is after coating so you can see how clear it goes on.

Hmm I’ve just had it ceramic coated. 🙈
