Hey,
My factory battery is having a hard time cranking engine while it's colder outside. Not to mention, I once discharged it for good by leaving head lamp turned on, regardless.

I'm looking to replace it with new one and was hoping for some discussion, what to look for?
Seems like AGM is a new king in batteries, but whenever I search for one, it's significantly smaller than EFB battery (60ah vs 45aH)
Also, in US manual for GR86 there are two caveats in terms of battery specifications. US & Canada gets 75D23L battery type, while rest of the world 55D23L.

What's your take on that? Anyone replaced their and would chime in for the best options?

Cheers

Couldn’t find an AGM battery in the same physical size as the factory fitted 48Ah OEM Panasonic Battery when I was looking for one, so I stuck another Lead-Acid in mine for Winter storage - a slightly more robust Bosch S4025 at 60Ah and 540CcA. Near identical measurements to the OEM.

I swapped to a VARTA N65 in early December. Its 65Ah and 650CCA. Its a massive improvement in performance over the OEM battery. No problem doing the five seconds of cranking to circulate the engine oil before starting the engine, even after three weeks unused in December.

The only issue I had when fitting it was that the positive terminal was a bit small for the clamp. The clamp would still turn slightly when done up tight. I got some very thin battery terminal sleeves, distressed the inner and outer surfaces of the sleeve and I was able to tighten the clamp enough to stop it turning.
