How are you finding the Carlinkit kit, I've been looking at a few options and reviews but would be good to know how you've found it so far?Mods/addons that I'd forgotten to insert in my previous update post (not all pictured):

I've had th same experience. I purchased mine from AliExpress for a fraction of the western retailers and it's the same product.
As both @Alistair31 and @Vistalite have said, it's been absolutely fine. I bought mine from Amazon during a Black Friday event but, had I known that it was available on AliExpress for half the price I would have got it from there! It's a super small and convenient unit that I've got 3Md to the front of the centre console, with a 10cm 90deg USB connector to avoid cable clutter. It just lives there with the lids closed and I don’t have to worry about it. NB: For my iPhone I use the 12V glove box socket so as to avoid overloading and blowing the USBs.

Could not agree more, brilliant piece of kit. No idea what they are on AliExpress but I was less than 50euros when I picked one up in France.
Are the Aliexpress carlinkit ones genuine or knock offs albeit good working ones? The price difference is astonishing! £100+ on Amazon and <£20 on Aliex??

Had its first service. So after a mucky motorway journey the car got a well deserved, albeit brief, 3 tier pressure wash with AutoGlym’s Polar Blast, Wash and Seal. Lookin’ sexeh again!

Panic this morning as I looked out the window to see a circle in the dew on the roof of the car where I think i left the interior light on over night. Car started fine though and I left in running for 10 mins.
