Next up... Carbon cooling panel.

It was for a standard car and air box... So sat on top of the Eventuri.... Some people were fine with that.. Not me. Hours cutting and trimming later...nice and neat around the eventuri.,

Next up was re-applying the lanoguard. Few hours cleaning it off.. Wheels off arches out... Looked brand new underneath.

Well after the 3rd trackday as suspected the front caliper dust seals were totally toast. . Had the titanium shims in for the last trackday but by then they were already melted. 135mph braking didn't help at Aintree.

Without inspecting, are there any tell tale signs of specifically these seals having deteriorated?

Not really mate....pads out and get pistons pushed out a tiny bit to see the whole seal....see if they are melted/torn

New calipers and uprated seals day. Very easy job... Pop the old seals out and put a tiny bit of red rubber grease on the new seals lip.. Massage into place.

Titanium shims and uprated brake fluid fitted too.

Calipers high temp ceramic coated.

Just under 22kg wheel and tyre. 9. 5 wide wheel with 255 wide tyre.

Trackday at Blyton park.

Car was brilliant... Best lap 1min10. (on a very warm day)... Stripped down the brakes when I got back... Seals perfect.

Bought some brake cooling guides after wards.... Fitted great.

They are from a guy in Ireland "filamend"..search on eBay........I think a fraction of the price of the scara ones

They fit perfect....I run 9.5 wide wheels and fitted on the ground at full lock there is no rubbing.

Thanks for sharing this with the rest of us.

Looks like a lot of shops claim those ducts as their product when there is a shared file for anyone with the right 3d printer to diy. Since i dont have a 3d printer (yet) i would also stick to buying a cost effective solution since the duct will be under some stress and have to withstand the abuse.

They also look much better (OEM) than the zip tying solutions with the usual red flexible fabric hoses.
