GR Yaris Mounts question

So I've had the car for over a year now. It has been a journey. however the gear shifts were quite notchy and had occasional lurching forwards under acceleration. I recently had a big service done, gearbox oil, clutch fluid and so on. It has made a noticeable difference. Still there is something there not quite right.

Im now wondering if replacing the stock engine mounts would help with gears and engine feel. I went in looking to see what just engine mounts would cost. To see there is a right one but no left. Left is transmission mount? Ok cool. Then it seems there is a rear engine mount too. Some peope talk about torque mount also but seems its not readily available here.
What mounts should i be replacing?
Is it worth doing these 3 only? (Rear, right engine and transmission mount)
Or should I try source a torque mount from some UK website.
Figure I dont need race versions as this is for road use?
Hardrace is the only brand available, assume they aren't bad?

This is for a 2020 model

Any tips or advice appreciated, I am no mechanic or much of a hands on enthusiast.

Go for a yellow gearbox mount. Garage whifbitz is a good company. Anything more than that will really add to cabin vibrations.

So just the torque mount skip the rest? Or you mean yellow is the best for road use on the torque mount

I would not bother with the Engine mount and upper Trans mount unless you are racing. Most people change the torque mount. These are pretty much all the same with the main difference being the Durometer hardness which varies between 60 to 90. 90 is hard as a rock, usually black in colour and will vibrate the seat, mirror and cabin. 60 is pretty close to stock. Around 70-80 hardness is a good compromise, I think. It's pretty much suck it and see.

Awesome, thats really good info. I will look for the yellow rubber one cheers.

Had the lower torque, gearbox and upper engine mounts done on mine and you definitely feel the difference now. As far as more noise, vibrations it's only really on cold start, once the car gets warm it's less noticeable

I fitted these at around 500 km; I’ve now done just under 28,000 km and I’m still happy with them.

I may try the yellow powerflexes for now since i found a supplier for nz. I will put a bookmark on collins for later

I fitted the yellow torque mount and it improved driveline/shift engagement a bit (I also have shifter cable end bushings and shifter base bushings fitted).

I regularly do track days and in hindsight I wish I fitted the black torque mount insert.

I fitted it on front ramps, you'll ideally need an impact driver to undo and tighten the large bolt.

I am tempted to try the yellow insert out on the gearbox mount next. I assume it doesn't add NVH just like the lower mount insert didn't?

I have all 3 (engine, trans, torque) on order from uk so assuming its in stock and no delays i can update in about 2 or 3 weeks.
