I've got a couple of long trips coming up and they got me thinking; is one of the Yaris' drive modes more efficient than the others for long-distance cruising?
My immediate thought is that Normal should be slightly more efficient as the amount of torque sent rearwards to the oversped rear axle is minimised, but this just an assumption based on the thought that a FWD setup would in theory have fewer losses, and Normal is the closest to that.
Plus, having the rear 'wind up' the centre diff can't be good for efficiency.
Anyone have any concrete evidence for/against this? Or maybe some other theory?
