GR Yaris (Gen 2) Mk2 waiting list

I’ve seen someone on Pistonheads and a few on the forums. I’m guessing they work down the list as people decline.

I know my dealer has taken delivery of a 2nd mk2 after mine when originally I was their only order.
Interesting, I've just sold my MK1... I have until tomorrow until to decide.

I see one for sale fr £53K!

That’s my local Toyota might pop down Saturday and have a look (and laugh at the price)

Yeah agreed, there is another black one on for £47 which still seems optimistic.

How are you getting on with yours? @Ecsrobin How does it compare to the Mk1?

I’m no motoring journalist but before buying I felt it was only worth upgrading if going for the auto (I suspect like many) but it just feels a more polished product, the seating, mirror and dash changes are a good improvement (aware 2 could be fixed with aftermarket).

Interior noise is down I suspect because of the boot carpet (again something that could be changed) but delivery of power and handling just feels more refined and sharper. It’s stiffer but smoother with less bounce on a bumpy b-road than before.

And then of course the auto, I use my car for the mundane and for fun which is why I own a hot hatch and not something more sporty. It’s transformed the boring, and then when I want to have fun into manual mode and it reacts quick.

The owners manual states it’s adaptive and I suspect this is where people are saying it reacts slowly when they’re trying to use manual around town, get out on the open road and push on and it’s very quick up and down.

I took it to Germany last week and my concerns about the RSA were put to bed, it’s very useful when in country’s you’re not 100% familiar with. In the UK I turn it off but I’ve also got home from drives and realised I forgot to turn it off as it’s pretty unobtrusive.

So for me no buyers remorse and I would be happy if swapping manual to manual.
