Got one on my non-GRY but the lights on that are very similar to the Yaris so you get an idea. XBB carried over from Yaris, now with additional smart button and a simple relay coupled to signal output two to switch the lighting modes. E-mode, boost, yellow, yellow + boost.

In switzerland, the max lumen we can have on a additionnal light is 2k. Out of range for me ^^
 
A question: for it to work, does it always have to be connected to the OBDII?

Yes. You can however use a OBDII splitter if you want the dashboard OBDII to remain free or have another OBDII device. In theory there is a chance of interference, but as long as both only do readout I don't see the issue.

I hope I don't get stoned for thread revival or hijacking, however I do have a problem with my Light bar. 😂

Basically I've asked Toyota to install some nice LED bulbs that I happened to buy in Bali last year, together with an LED light bar. I imported a pair of Veleno Fog Light housings from Japan myself just this February and tried to have all the parts installed and wired to the fog lights by my Toyota dealer (Gen 1 Yaris).

Basically the housing fits perfectly but my supplied 3 color switching LED switches off after 2 seconds of use. The lightbar itself, also connected to the fog light circuit, seems to generally work when the car is at a stand still but will switch off after about 15 seconds when driving (currently my fog lights are disconnected as I haven't yet found or ordered a replacement LED bulb to place into the Veleno Housing). Veleno has their own LED bulbs but I'm scared of spending 150-200€ on a product shipped from Japan that might not even work, even though it's intended for the GRY. I'm totally confused as to why the Bali Bulbs aren't working as they look quality too.

I assumed patching the Light Bar to the fog lights would be the simplest solution for me to test if I even like light bars before splurging for a legal Lazer. I've even ordered LED canbus adapters from Philips for them to try but none of the adapters worked.

The fog lights are currently disconnected (light bar still connected) with the housing left inside in hopes of me potentially being able to switch them myself as Toyota charges about 200€ for bumper removal which is criminal (and is also the reason as to why I waited to have all things done the same time). If I wanted to utilize one of the blank switches and have separate light circuit for the light bar it would be another 200€ for the wiring. (already spent 450€ so far including bumper removal, mounting and the fog light drama). I don't mind going this route but I would rather combine this wiring with another thing that I may want to have installed (i.e. canchecked display, I'm not sure of this is plug and play or not) or perhaps the intercooler spray which definitely utilizes a blank.

Going this route doesn't fix my LED bulb issue. :/ The car is currently with Toyota but we don't know what to do.
