I'd definitely be interested in buying a calendar, as long as

a load of middle-aged men (myself included) don't take absolutely any of their clothes off

Unacceptable. Half the GR86s there will resplendent with your modification, and the other half will feel under endowed in comparison. Make it happen and you'll not be needing to buy your own mediocre hot drinks or dubiously-prepared breakfast sustenance that's for sure!
 
Quick update on tickets, Japfest has finally fixed access so we can see numbers and names attending.

In total we have 64 vehicle passes / club driver entry tickets using our code. :love:
I would recommend you check your tickets are correct as the Japfest website was problematic when the show was announced.

Login and go to 'Your Tickets' you should have a 'Club Driver Entry Ticket' and then additional tickets for passengers and cleaning kits. If you are unsure message @GR-Admin with your name and we'll check if you are on the list.

Japfest has confirmed they have no additional capacity for the April event. (n)

If you need to update your existing ticket ie. change of vehicle / registration number etc then you should be able to do this, by selecting your orders and updating the system but it doesn't appear to be functioning and they are looking into it. I will update when I hear back. :whistle:

I don't have any additional ticket for the cleaning kit but, I do have a Club Driver Entry Ticket which states "Club Driver Entry Ticket Including FREE Meguiars Cleaning Kit" then further down the page "Cleaning kit to be collected at the event. Please use this voucher to collect your kit at the Fast Car Retail Stand".
I'm assuming from the noted text that I don't need a separate voucher?

That's my assumption that the main entry ticket is also used for the cleaning kit; there is a specifically separate voucher for the Show Guide.

Japfest terminology isn't always consistent.

If you are going off the email from when you ordered then that's what it states on the 'Confirmation of internet booking', you should have another pdf with your ticket where it'll be listed as Club Driver Entry Ticket. This should also be available if you login to the Japfest website and download your ticket.
 
If anyone is heading down from the far north or Scotland, on the Saturday, a couple of us are meeting at Scotch Corner services at 08:30 for a 'sedate' convoy down to MK . . .

Indeed we are! Scotch Corner is my first designated 'Pee & Petrol' stop on the way down from Fife (leaving at 5am) and to team-up with choopper in his near identical GR86. It'll be like the cat scene from the matrix with two bright blue GR86s heading down the A1/M18/M1 to MK. I can't say that it will be my last services visit though, as I've a bladder the size of a peanut! Keep an eye out in your mirrors for me veering off unexpectedly haha! :coffee:😵‍💫 🚽

Ohh I booked this back in November but never posted it.
Chances are I will make it but given it is during school's half term there is always that risk of not being able to do it.
If I can't make it for any reason I will mention it here. It is a plus 1 child ticket btw
 
Looks like I've managed to double book myself for the only weekend I had plans for this year. The missus is taking part in the Brighton Marathon on the same day as Japfest, so barring any last minute injuries (🤔 ) I'll be giving this a miss.

Hotel is cancellable until April, and I can't cancel/transfer the Japfest tickets so will hang on until the last minute before cancelling the hotel.

Due to the demise (not *really* dead, just gone 'incommunicado') of the 'local detailer' that @Sonic had booked for his arrival in MK, the meeting time has been revised to 11:30-12:00 at Scotch Corner Services, so if you're interested you can spend a little more time in bed / polishing / waxing before setting off!

I’ll be using the A68 from Edinburgh to Scotch Corner services, then after meeting with @chopper602 our likely route (between 12:00 to 15:30) will be the A1, M18 and M1 (j14) to Milton Keynes.
If you want us to call in at a particular services during our journey let us know and we’ll do our best to accommodate 🫡…
