Yesterday (2025-05-26), HKS released the GRY Transfer Oil Cooler. Quite an elegant solution, in my opinion: https://www.hks-power.co.jp/product_db/cooling/db/36195

Interesting fact mentioned in the release article is that, starting from April 2025, JDM GR Yaris models come equipped with a “Transfer Protection Control Cancellation Program”. This makes it possible to disable switching to 2WD mode and doing so voids your warranty, at least for the transfer case, I guess.

It would be interesting to find out whether this calibration can be written to the Gen 1 AWD ECU.

interesting package. Many rally build cars run separate transfer box cooler to avoid the heat issue.
according HJS car can run 400s before transfer box gets over 130'C.

for oil lines I would prefer using stainless steel vs. rubber, just to make sure that oil lines are secure and leak free. Other than that, the kit looks like a nice upgrade.

And thats protection cancelling feat is also interesting.

I would also like to see a thermostatic switch integrated into the design, similar to the approach used in the HEL rear differential cooler.
