GR Yaris HJS Downpipe with ECE-approval

Mines currently out for delivery today. Ordered early December from Tegiwa. Christmas shut down of HJS factory I was told. Was given an ETA of March sometime so was pleasantly surprised to get a DHL notification upon waking today.
It’s arrived! Wow the box is small! Around the same size as a shoe box. Just need to find someone competent in the Kent area now if anyone has any recommendations? Driving impressions to follow..

If the service says they gotta pull apart subframe and stuff, tell them to dismantle the OEM cat heat shields while its still bolted on the car. That way it can be removed "easily".

Had mine fitted today by JF Automotive in Maidstone. Took them approx 4 hours because they said it was a bit fiddly. Early impressions are that pickup feels more immediate and grunty so that town driving feels better but not had a chance to open her up yet on an open road through the gears. Seems to work well my Eventuri, Legamax, and ECUTek remap.

Had mine fitted today. First impressions are really nice. Definitely a noticeable difference in response/pickup. Pulls a bit harder, and doesn't die out as much at the top end. Feels like the car has been woken up a bit, and had another little level of aggressiveness added.

Didn't seem to be any louder on cold start/idle than it already was with unresonated Milltek, but seems a bit louder when on throttle, and the tone is maybe a tad deeper.

Stock ECU btw. No tune.

Will it throw a CEL on the stock tune?

No. It is CE approved, so it is a legal mod, and should give similar emission numbers to stock, and uses the stock sensors. It is simply built with higher quality materials to achieve the same amount of filtering with less restriction.

I had my local Toyota dealership fit it, and they had no qualms about doing it, considering it was CE certified. It is viewed the same as any other 3rd party spare part.

Is the DP on the MK2 different from the one on the MK1 ? I knew the backbox was different, but not aware the front section was.
I have read elsewhere that it is different.

It’s not just the back box that is different. It’s the full system.

can I ask a curiosity? where is that lateral bracket of the downpipe fixed? to the engine?!?! because I still don't understand why there are no flexible parts in the exhaust to avoid the risk of breaking the turbo with the movement of the exhaust

On the gearbox. So basically the turbo is fixed.
But the downpipe is with two bolts with springs attached to the OPF and allows for some movement.

Have you guys ordered this one from Tegiwa?

It says Milltek but is it actually the same as HJS 90828000 and there is no difference?
I'm planning to add it to my full Akrapovic exhaust.

Miltek is the HJS, no difference. Made by HJS and sold by Miltek

I confirm.
I brought the car to pass the Mandatory "TEchnical Control" in June, the HJS downpipe passes the emissions test. Passes as if it were the OE one. Not any problem at all.
