Your expectations seem reasonable. Mileage might put some off also as these cars are oftentimes used as novelties with lower than daily driver miles on them. Personally, I’d take all the mods off and sell separately. They have value, but whilst on the car are not only worthless (unless someone wants it all), but also most likely devaluing the car. I always add stuff to mine, but almost always take it all off and put original parts back on. Someone out there will want it as is for sure, but your market needs to be all buyers, not just those wanting those exact mods. IMO. If you have time, just wait it out.

I reckon you could try and sell for 28k with mods. Some might want the brakes and coilovers, wheels you are better putting the oem back on. If it doesn't sell soon, consider removing some of the stuff but I will say this, we are entering the most difficult months to sell a car so you have got to be quick about it.

Is that Ross' old car? It very much sounds like it.

I'd typically echo everyone else's sentiment of removing the mods, but if my suspicions are correct and you didn't mod it yourself you might not be comfortable working on the car. If that's the case you may want to hold out for a buyer who appreciates the mods. as Blue said though, it's getting into winter so interest might not be at it's peak.

Do you have all the stock parts?

Unfortunately don't have the stock items is shame , agreed that for some people might not want all the mods , I guess a good sell would be aroun £28k with all mods probably for a quick sell wourl drop a to 27k .
I prefer stock plus cars because the value is better but thanks

thank you all, i did try MX 5 i don't fit!!!!!! 6 feet tall and due my past of strong man very thick thighs cannot heel and toe and that is on NC the big one . so maybe will try to sell it at £28k or keep it for longer term and make it original or at least better coilovers don't like the b14.

I think that fate has stepped in and made its opinion known. Keep the GR86 and just tinker with that for a few years - it's a declared 'future classic' after all!
Yes seems that way. Will need to tinker with it wife does no like how loud it is so will take the cat back off.

Anyone known an place can order OEM parts will need exhaust, intake and possible wheels

Yeah, the Remark Cat-Back is well known for being both loud and droney at certain revs. Why not look at something less 'in yo face' rather than going back to OEM, there are plenty of good options out there for £1k or less. A stock intake I've seen for £400 on eBay. The OEM wheels are currently £398 each at Toyota Parts Direct, which isn't that mush more expensive than aftermarket alloys.

Yes but i would love to get the warranty with service from toyota for peace of mind .
The wheels i will keep
Exhaust 100% will go will take any opinions on nice one but no to loud.
Intake Depending if affect warranty or not
Big brake kit will keep
Coilover probably keep for now but want something less bouncy on motorway sometimes i love them sometimes i hate them .

I'd say swap back to a more standard spec and sell the car - then sell the mods separately to make most ££
Mine is up for sale too - totally OEM+ standard but with full PPF and havent had many nibbles at £29k

Will reduce to £28,250 soon and put it on autotrader (it's only on here just now) but have been too busy to do it so far!

MODs are a real turn off for more than "some".
A standard car serviced at main dealer is more sought after.
There may be that one person out there who wants all of those modes but they will want it cheap. I would change what I could to improve my chances.
Good luck in selling and buying a more suitable car.

Thank you for all the help, sometimes the path is harder I spoke with my other half will start by taking the exhaust and make less loud hopefully is good enough .
otherwise will put as original as possible and sell it but dam is good car I doubt will get anything I like as good at this price point.

Remember these are largely fun cars and seasonal (pause for the 'I drive mine all year around' comment), so best to sell them April to September, kind of like a convertible. You're running out of time to sell at a good price.
Also try a BMW Z4 convertible, they have space inside, unlike the MX-5. I had an ND MX-5, it's a great car, but too cramped inside, and anyone 6ft their head sticks out.

well i agree with what you said i drive mine once a week and odd weekend, yesterday went to try an 23 supra , wife loved it i liked it and was thinking maybe that is the answer. BUT.... Drove my GR 86 to London and way back pushed some corners and was fun and mean fun fun that even my wife that thinks the car is loud drop the comment... i liked this car today
In my head f**k!!!
I was thinking of selling because shed did no like it much then drops comments like that. So i am meeting up with another GR86 owner with different set up to see and think about my options meanwhile will maybe wait it out, and do a long trip with the wife .

The supra it does feel amazing but i felt the novelty will wear out is a automatic car that is amazing and i want a Supra but also want a GR86 so cannot afford both at moment keep the devil i know.

Put the exhaust back to standard and disconnect the fake engine noise box in the cabin, to quieten it down.
The Supra and Z4 are based on the same chassis, just Toyota tuned the Supra to their style.

Maybe the simple solution is is to stop taking the wife out in the car?
