Totally Hooked
Does the Yaris have a twin scroll turbo like my Focus? It makes for a near imperceptible non lag turbo power application. Not like the 80s where you could change radio stations waiting for it to start pulling lol

Bang on I'd say
I've been out in the Yaris today for the first time in a week and had the exact same thought about feeling up high! The Yaris is much louder than the 86 though, but that is mainly pumped in grunting whenever you're on the throttle. The way it melts your face as you power through corners will never get old but I am starting to feel like the 86 feels the more pleasant car to drive, more of the time.
Both definitely special but in polar opposite ways. Feel very lucky to have both.
Need to get the run in done so I can really get to grips with the 86!!
Just make sure it's a GR Yaris not a Yaris GRTbh I think I'm going to pick up a Yaris GR as a second car in the near future. so it's interesting to read this!
Not, no a twin-scroll, but it is ball-bearing and a relatively small snail so the lag isn't bad, and with a remap/tuning box to reduce boost threshold and fill out the midrange it's very responsive, even without considering it's a pretty highly-boosted 1.6.Does the Yaris have a twin scroll turbo like my Focus?
