Thanks for the info this was going to be the 1st thing I try to fix it next on the list was going to be to connect the pip work back up to the block removed from the old air box.I also have this kit but as my car is not using the maf anymore (Syvecs ECU) I didn't notice this problem. A friend of mine just installed the same intake on a customers car and got "bucking" at 2500 rpms.
Turned the filter around as a few post suggest on "that other" forum helped and now the car runs great.
Or saying it's a fix that will help all but worth a try before sending it back.
The Syvecs is a very nice pice of kit. I was always planing a turbo upgrade and then some so for me it's almost "worth" it. For someone looking for a exhaust and a tune it's a bit to much money in my opinion. Thanks for the info this was going to be the 1st thing I try to fix it next on the list was going to be to connect the pip work back up to the block removed from the old air box.
How are you finding the Syvecs with a tune worth the money ?
Your right and I'm not into tuning boxes I'm in the tuning game and will know as soon as the tool makes find a way to read the original map data from the ecu that's what I'm hanging on for .The Syvecs is a very nice pice of kit. Sure it's a lot of money but as long as no one cracks the original ECU there is no other way to safely gain a lot of power.
Thanks matie... definitely gonna start of my first install with a reverse cone insert on my Gen2 GRY post break in.View attachment 877update - I've finally had a chance to turn the filter round and the results are good with no missing or stuttering under any kind of load so all good now
