As @Onehp proposed let's open up another thread for Gravel related suspension tweaks for GR Yaris.
Let's list out options that have been found.

For coilovers there's many gravel related solutions available

Finnish suspension company bigem provides following (race?) setup, 3-way adjustable with external reservoirs, price 5.2k€ (VAT inc.)
Checked and they recommend servicing once per year in road use.

New model designed at Bigem's - Toyota GR Yaris, 3-way suspension set for Rally.
52mm piston in front set.

Do you think they are any good? The only brand reference I can find is full podium at Monte Carlo and Dakar?

Sorry for bad joke
given this I'd say that's a good set. Would be fun to test how it transforms the car. Then again, maybe it requires big enought nuts to unlock the potential.

Toyota Rally1 car seems to have Reiger suspension so it must be good.
All Rally1 cars have Reiger afaik...

"HDP (Hydraulic Double Piston) give you a progressive compression damping so you can drive with a lot of comfort without your damper bottoming.

Rebound Control Valve (RCV) detects whether the wheel is on the ground and adjusts the damping accordingly.
This will give you a lot more traction."

This sounds like two key damping technologies that make them so good. The former similar to hydraulic bumpstops, the latter extending the suspension quickly if there is no load, to my understanding.

Sounds great, if you want true performance on unpaved (or really bad paved) roads....

Previously Toyota Gazoo Racing WRC uses BOS suspension. I’m not entirely sure if still holds true for Rally1.

TRD is now also selling their gravel kit, that makes it possible to raise the car (30mm).
would be very nice to hear experiences with this kit, how it works in terms of driving + maintenance.
Being Toyota OEM would have its benefits. good option for rally recce driving built car, something to consider.

Here in Czech we have a small, but great company called protlum. They have made a top spec rally suspension for my friend, but they can make lower spec on request. The Top Race ARV ( low speed compression, high speed compression, rebound, Active Rebound Valve for maximum traction and safe landings, Thermal valve for long stages, hydraulic bump for compresion and extension) is around 5k, but they start from around 3k. Works great!

this looks quite nice kit! looks like it gives little extra ground clearance as well? would be perfect for winter / gravel stuff.

Yes. It is custom build long stroke, so no problem with the clearance. Cheap rebuild and longevity. Great after sale service. If you need anything in the future just let me know. I can help you out. We even ride them on our old Skoda race cars.

Is the rear damper coilover, with the spring over the damper? If so need to figure out how to reinforce the rear suspension turret.
