Totally Hooked
Tempted. Is cheaper on Black Hawk Japan but still around £400 plus postage. Got strut brace on order so need to see if these would still fit with it on. The ends on the strut look to sit more proud.

I might experiment and take of the braces that are on there and see if it really is quieter. Then it may give me a clue if this is worth pursuing. I am going to order the HKS Spec L 11 from black hawk so could get them at the same time.Tempted. Is cheaper on Black Hawk Japan but still around £400 plus postage. I tried that for two motorway trips a couple of weeks ago . It did seem to reduce the intensity of the noise.I might experiment and take of the braces that are on there and see if it really is quieter.
Good info Sim61 I might give it a try. It’s very hard to measure noise levels accurately and once you have spent £800 you have to believe it’s quieter. I guess I should try earplugs first and save myself £790I tried that for two motorway trips a couple of weeks ago . It did seem to reduce the intensity of the noise.
I put them back on for two more recent motorway slogs. I did feel that there was more noise again.
But I have done nothing scientific such as measuring noise levels. Plus the two trips were on different motorways apart from the lovely concrete section and past Heathrow on the M25. So hardly conclusive.
I have a strut brace arriving, fingers crossed tomorrow, so am going to remove the two OEM braces and add the strut bar.. see what that brings.
I am on the motorways again in a week, so fingers crossed.
I’ve not experienced any humming noises either before or after fitment of these, so I can’t answer you bar maybe get the garage to take a look at your car.Any updates on these and if they eliminate the front end humming noise!?
Yup, agree with all of that.Good info Sim61 I might give it a try. It’s very hard to measure noise levels accurately and once you have spent £800 you have to believe it’s quieter. I guess I should try earplugs first and save myself £790![]()
I wouldn't bother if yours does the job. From what I can tell it's real carbon but wrapped over the aluminum.I only found out Cusco did a carbon one after I received my alloy one, for the small difference in price the carbon is a no brainer. Worth the hassle of exchanging?
Ah, in that case I won't bother. Cheers for the info.I wouldn't bother if yours does the job. From what I can tell it's real carbon but wrapped over the aluminum.
@KobayashiMaru86 i think the damper would go on top of brace ok, I’ll get a side profile shot to show the angles. This is my bar fitted. Think the damper struts would foul it unless I did the brace first and bolted the dampers on top so the opposite to how it is now?

That's why I'm thinking put the brace on first then the damper. But it's a very expensive gamble
@ritch did you get a pic of this?@KobayashiMaru86 i think the damper would go on top of brace ok, I’ll get a side profile shot to show the angles.
