Did have a thought on this. I could unbolt the ends of the dampers and swap them around. That way the protruding bit of the arm is outside of the footprint of the brace

Some instructions. I should be able to swap them but if not I'll soon know as I've ordered them. If I really can't get it to work I'll sell them on.

Have tried to cancel them but it's 11pm over there. More I look at it the worse it is. FFS... The brackets should work the other way or I could end up notching them. Or even making plates to do the same thing like the old ones. Eitherway it's a lot of hassle. If I can't cancel I'll try them but I can see them going up for sale. At least someone can avoid postage and import costs.

It's annoying too as I bought the bar on a bit of a whim plus the oil cap. Bar worked so well that I started looking at what else I can do. SARD maybe my solution but not yet and the rear setup I'm not fully happy with how it bolts together and the loss of space.

Another option for the rear is the 'STI flexible draw stiffener' it doesn't translate very well that might have a similar effect.

They do a rear one too but it's a bumper off job to fit which I can't be arsed for. Looked into how the SARD ones fit. Fronts fit on the ends of the chassis legs and the bracketry is quite good. Rear looks like this. Mounts using the holes for the boot lid and while I'm getting a rear brace to still have use of the wheel well for a spare, this would probably stop me getting full size wheels in.

Thanks for those, that's useful. Fairly certain they won't fit so managed to cancel them. May attempt it again in the future or find the ones for the last car with flat brackets.

I noticed these today when busy procrastinating at work.

There is an STI Version.

Loads cheaper and looks like it would be more compatible with the Cusco cross bar.

Forgive my ignorance, but what's the point in flexible bracing?

These look similar in function, but not in specific design, to the STi Flexible V bars. They provide the chassis stiffening required but have the tiniest 'give', reducing NVH and actually making the chassis feel more predictable.

They are designed to go with the STi Flexible Rear Draw Stiffener, which performs the same function on the chassis at the rear and I also have fitted. I don't know if there is a TRD equivalent.

Another good chassis tweak is the TRD Door Stabiliser. All three make the chassis feel extremely stiff and provide secure handling, especially emergency direction changes of which I have had two recently.
