GR86 GR86 - The clutch pedal thread

Yes, first thing I did in fact, which says it all.

Don’t get hung up on how many turns it’s very much a personal preference, I found closer alignment to where the brake pedal is worked for me. Be careful not to go too low as it won’t feel right and you risk not disengaging the clutch completely.
Thanks!! 👍

Afternoon

Can't remember my GT86 being like this but after nearly 2 years of owning the GR the low speed clutch bite point is starting to make me not enjoy the car even after getting used to it after a few months into ownership and being able to rev match/heel toe. I'm not practical in the slightest lol so asked my local stealer and they've advised you can't alter the clutch which i know isn't true :ROFLMAO:

Any advice on this please?
I so rarely drive my '86 and when I do I always hate the clutch / throttle on it, it feels like being a learner driver again. All the other manual cars I jump in I have no problem just driving. It hit me the other day when I jumped in my other half's new to her audi A5 that I had never driven before and didn't even think about clutch biting points, kangerooing etc

It's baffling how a driver focused car could get this so wrong.

I really don’t have a problem. As I’ve stated before I just put my seat back one click so I’m not so close to the pedal. Solved the problem for me.

This! drove my mothers Ibiza the other day and thought why couldn't the GR be more like this 😂 Going to attempt the adjustment myself the weekend but i also agree with Matt below as i tried moving back a click and it was a lot better but still don't like how i have to still slowly release the clutch when just casual driving, higher speeds it's not so much an issue for me. Probably another thread but does anyone else think the car can be clinical one day and then paint a big smile on your face when the conditions are just right and the low COG, lightness etc just amaze you!
