Having read the TG review & the specifications, is it correct the road tax is £1420? Gulp!

Yeah, the first years road tax is included in the on the road price.

Only if it were north of £40k+ do you have to pay an extra £500 odds per year for the first 5 years. The other halves dog waggon has that so not my problem 🤪

Phew! Thanks for the confirmation it's within the RRP and then £165 thereafter.

yeh i had the same shock a few months back. Someone kindly pointed out it was included in the cost price and then not so much each year.. but i do think it will start to creep up in the near future once EV's start to take over.

They're on about taxing EV's soon too (because no one saw that one coming...) but in their case it should be based on weight as I'd argue too many 2t+ vehicles do more damage to the roads than most. EV's are efficient but they really need to get the weights down.

yeh think they (electric car owners) thought they would get away with no road tax and free electric...just wait until everything is electric and the co2 is still high the eco warriors will go in to melt down

some of the newer planned suvs are upto 3tonne

With 4 passengers on board with some luggage I think the bigger ones will be over 3t, a standard driving licence won't be adequate soon, gonna need HGV licence.

Yup. An Audi e-tron 55 is 2720kg so with 4 80kg folk in it it'll be north if 3 tons.
