GR86 GR86 on track - any member experience/feedback?

I run on track with the AC off, as although the compressor disconnects ad WOT,
Go with MAX A/C button next time, you will cooldown drastically the cabin and you won't sweat till about 7-8-10 minutes later, depends how long are your session.
On cooldown laps, car will automatically engage A/C again so you will start cooling of interior cabin.
No point sweating if there is a button for it.

Thanks all, great advice.

I took her on track for the first time at the weekend - Abingdon - so lots of run off space for some massive slides!!

The car does feel too softly sprung when looking for fast direction changes, but like others have said, I wouldn't want it any stiffer as a road car.

All in all, the car (bone stock) performed really well. Fast enough to keep pace with most stuff, a hell of a lot of fun on the tight hairpin (which could be taken fully sideways), and adjustable on the high speed stuff depending on whether you wanted smoothness, or lairiness.

If I were doing a lot of track work I'd definitely look to upgrade the brakes/suspension, but its a lot of fun right out of the box as long as you keep a close eye on temperatures and don't do more than 4/5 laps in a session. I just wish the exhaust sounded better!! (ah well - another mod to add to the list!)

Glad you enjoyed yourself. I had a small track outing last November and came out with the same thoughts. The car definitely punches above its weight but it was a little soft for my liking - I even found this to be the case on the road, hence the coilovers.
