Hey all, does anyone have a screenshot of the original APR when we purchased the GR86. I wasn't sure what i wanted to do at the time and a few weeks ago i was looking to get a loan, now the typical APR has of course risen so i was going to see what the original APR was if financed. Did anyone take a screenshot incase they questioned it later down the line as I believe it was quite a good offer? TIA

Someone confirmed with Toyota UK thatvthe headline rate offered at point of sale would be honoured.

I’d be surprised if Toyota UK would hold that rate for someone that 6 months later decides they’d “like“ to use Toyota UK historical rates.

Normally to secure the rate, you need to submit the finance application - so if you haven't, it's likely you'll receive the current offering.
I think the rate was 4.9% when the order frenzy took place.

totally agree with this, however when i got "the call" i asked about finance saying that i wasn't sure and asked if I could decide before i got collected the car.. he responded by saying they would prefer me to go with 'Toyota' finance as it means if there was ever a warranty claim it would be 'better/easier'. So all i can do really is get the screenshot, give them a call next week. If i get rejected, at least i know it's not possible and i can cross that off my list :).

EDIT: Now he could have meant, yes you can but at whatever the APR is at the time you decide..
EDIT 2: I guess if i wanted .. i could complain that they have delayed the release of the car and so technically rates hadn't gone up by that time. but not sure i would get anywhere ..

From my "Order confirmation" received from Toyota UK . . . . . I hope that the disclaimer they put on Finance orders is as helpful . . .

This what I received when my order was placed, if I visit my account it's still the same document/details.
Now it states that the quote is available for a finance between 01/04/2022 and 30/06/2022 and registered by 31/12/2022. I assume that since I applied between 04 and 06 it will be available till 31/12/2022?
Please correct me if I am wrong.

So they can delay registrations to the 1st of jan 23 and up the interest rate on the pcp 🤷🏻‍♂️

Toyota verbally confirmed this would be honoured for cars delivered in 2023 and 2024. But not sure that holds much weight these days.

I was told the APR would not change but that they could change the GFV which could impact the the monthly payments.

When I had my call a few months back, they mentioned there was a maximum deposit amount I could put down (£11k from memory).

The finance for the GR86 remains visible on the Toyota website.

I was going to call Toyota online but I remembered that you guys harass them all the time. Has anyone asked whether it would be possible to switch to cash payment from their financing deal?

I’m beating myself because my bank was offering a 3.9% loan a week ago, but now it’s still there at 4.4% which also is a little saving

yes, I signed up for finance then switched to cash, just emailed them and they called to confirm

I financed half of the purchase with a personal loan at 2.9%. The other half is coming from a trade in of my existing car. Felt a bit stupid getting a loan 4+ months before collecting the car, but in retrospect it was probably a wise decision.
