A useful thread on how the spoiler is fitted to the boot lid. It looks as though the ”duckbill” extension is bolted to the lower spoiler🤔

I’m guessing there will be aftermarket alternatives which are a one piece and would bolt on using the original mounting holes in the boot lid 🤔

This or the TOM's spoiler then? Probably worth trying for a group buy on these at some point as lots of people in the order thread seem to want one.

Body colour or gloss black to match mirrors and wheels though?? 🤔

It will be interesting to see if the mirrors are Crystal Black (D4S) as the black paint on the duckbill , personally I’d go with a black one on a light coloured car for the contrast 👍😎

May well be right, especially if the roof ends up going black as well!

Someone sent this to me on Reddit, Toyota part numbers for the various painted duckbills. Hopefully we can import them from somewhere closer to the time.

Hopefully someone offers a complete replacement for the OEM boot spoiler at some point instead of all these that are bolted/glued/taped to OEM one.

I think after seeing the sheer number of electric blue orders on the other thread the likes of Frnsport will be trying to source as many blue ducktails as they can.

I emailed them: "I am afraid TRD usually only offer their parts in TRD colours which are traditionally white, red and black. Any other colours would need to buy unpainted and have painted at a bodyshop."

I suspect us electric blue types will have to pay alot to paint after or go without.........

I’m thinking of going with black on an EB but until we actually see the demo cars we won’t know if the mirror caps are the same paint as Crystal Black or if it would be a real mismatch 🤔

By the end of the year I think there will be no end of alternatives to the TRD spoiler 🤔

Could always go unpainted - get it black wrapped with the mirrors and roof. Then it would all match.

Can't find a picture of a blue car with black duckbill though to check it looks good.

I’ve seen black on a white car and it looks good 👍 my last car was white with a black lip spoiler 😎
