As @doogle83 says , the lady from the online team who made the welcome call gave me that info. A few folk who had their call weeks ago also got the same info re demo cars. The lady said, “there is no point having demo cars in dealerships when there are no cars to sell, so we have allocated them to customers“ or something very close to that , which is consistent with what others have been told

My dealer also think they're getting a demo. They have sorely been kept out of the loop. Saying that though, my dealer has had more regular contact with me, even if it's just to say that nothing has changed so I'm very happy with them.

I think the issue is that the cars are still showing on the dealer’s stock allocation system and either:
A. The dealers have not been informed they are no longer getting a car by Toyota U.K. , or
B. More
being spread by the poor folk at Toyota U.K. Online Sales who are just working from a script

It may be old but I can’t imagine it has changed much… there’s only so many GR centres in the UK
Post #1 only names one colour at a dealer.
