GR86 GR86 Delivery Tracking and Collection thread

I have ordered on the 28th and have entered all my details etc. Also booked in for a test drive with my dealer.

My car is still at processing stage. Also on the my ordered Toyota page there are two GR86's on there. One has my order date etc on it whilst the other has my vehicle order tracker on it. Is this normal?

Well after a 3hr test drive on Saturday in a mix of horrific rain and thankfully sunny weather, whereby I was able to apply a suitable layer of beans, even the wife was impressed. So much so, she asked to have one in order to replace her car rather than buy (yet) another.

Thankfully colour samples of our two potential hues were there, as they are also GT86 colours. Ice Silver was our preference over Magnetite Grey, to allow the black accents to pop.

Deal signed by 3rd July with Toyota UK, some ID work to do and then we are all go. Don't care when it arrives, as it will be a long term option. Emailed the dealer with a list of do's and to fit a set of mudflaps.

As for driving it, we are both still smiling and it's the first time she did not complain when I was giving it 90% on country roads I know very well. She even asked, could you teach me to drive like this - what a change from usually screaming and moaning about the stomach movements.

Much fun awaits.

And I log into the tracker which shows the car has arrived at the Dealership today?

I await this call back from the dealer with Interest!

Well that'll be my order 'pushed back' as today I changed it from a Manual to an Automatic; I can already hear the cries of "What the heck?!" but, having grown accustomed to an 8spd DCT, its ease of use in the city, the comfort on the motorway and being able to drive it 'manually' for some spirited driving when the mood takes me, I just thought nah, I can't be bothered going back to a MT. A bonus of this change is that the wife (now in a right huff) said that I did it on purpose because I know that that she'll never drive it - she hates AT cars and never even sat in the drivers seat of my KonaN. Back to being mine then.. all mine .. my precious. Ahh life - Sorted. 🤭

My car is finally at the dealership. However, Toyota can't validate my identity as the answers they have to the questions they asked were wrong!

Hopefully once they get back from lunch they’ll get on with putting it right.

I ordered on 26th June, still at Processing stage and can see two cars in the app and online - think this just represents order stages as I've seen others screenshot a 4/4 view upon order completion. No phonecall from Toyota yet either that I hear happens. Some new orders seem to fly through the stages, guess we may not be those lucky enough to have been allocated cars already on boats / in UK.

Despite getting incredibly triggered that I've waited since April last year and my order still showing as processing and new people being further ahead getting further updates mine is docking into Bristol July 5th. Said it may take anywhere between 3-6 weeks from there. No clue why none of the tracking is working so I can see me making lots of calls each week to try and find out where it is. The wait is nearly over... at least is still have the old price and 4.9% APR so little wins.

Is the status also not updating via Toyota's webpage?

I like this content very much indeed.

I showed this excerpt to my partner in the interests of growth and personal development (hers that is), following her rather unfair critique of my own excellent driving.

Her response?

"sounds like he was driving like a t**t too".

So rude.

Ordered mine (Sapphire Blue Manual) on Sunday 25th June and the App. is now saying the car is on it's way to my dealer! Can't quite believe this as it is 2 years to the day (04/07/21) since I ordered my GR Yaris:D
