GR86 GR86 Delivery Tracking and Collection thread

It's really been shocking. Getting a phone call when I'm away on holiday telling me they're not going to release the car for the handover date as I've not paid up or filled in the driveaway insurance details, when they've had both for 3 weeks with the correct notice of both being sent to them via the portal as requested is frankly a disgrace. If I didn't want the car as much as I do I'd be advising them which of their corporate orifices they can shove it up.

And don't worry, once I've got the car off them and it's safe in my hands there's a social media maelstrom heading their way!!
@Ricky185 After meeting you at Croft, I thought this might have been sorted already . . .:( Any indication of how long the bodyshop work will take?

How does the payment for the car work if you're taking out finance, do I pay the dealership or Toyota Online?

Collected it today :)
I got to say that it was best new car collection experience in my life. I've had nice chat with dealership boss as well my sales person. I was greeted with cofee and sweets and dealership owner's wife gifted me GR Jacket and Polo shirt (just casually noticing that I finally came to pick the car up) . I bought my GR Yaris from them too. The car came with dealer graphics because it was supposed to be a demo car for a while but it never happened.

Who know with how everything has been handled so far. They will probably hold on to them until our expected delivery date :ROFLMAO:
Top Tip - if you plan to part ex, phone them and ask for the valuation form and have a look around online.
T Online use British Car Auctions but I didn’t know that until a few days after the car arrived at the dealer. They offered 2.5k less than motorway so waiting for that to go through now!

Don’t be shy, let’s see the jacket and polo shirt!

Mine's updated to Arrived in Portbury today on MyT and I got an update email from Toyota On-line. Speaking to them tomorrow. Not long now! Now need to decide should I leave the Tein Flex A & TD UEL manifold on my GT86 and sell it as it is, or revert it to stock - decisions decisions

Had my “welcome call” today. Deposit paid Thursday evening, order finalised on a Friday. Apparently car should be ready in August/September. Which could potentially workout quite well doing a road trip to the Alps and catching some RWC games in September, then doing a trip through Italy in October. Would be great to take the 86 on one of those trips!

useful info, thanks. I also paid Thursday evening with order finalised Friday with an email same day to say it has gone into build. No welcome call yet though.

Had an email saying my 86 has now left the factory. Seems to be moving along pretty rapid.
