I had one on order as well! Stupidly put a deposit on the i4 base edition.

Took an age to get my money back.

I had a V6 first edition on order. They just kept pushing it back was supposed to get it July 22 and ended up cancelling March 23 after they still couldn’t commit to a delivery date.

Nice to meet you at Croft and have a good look at your car in 'real life'. Body shop have now finished the repairs but the detailer can't get it in until first week of July now so another 3-4 weeks to wait 🙄

This makes me so mad when mine isn't even in build yet and I'm hearing reports of the new batch already being released. Absolute joke from Toyota. Need to call them this afternoon to find out where the hell mine is. But good for you, you luck SOB ;) I'm just jealous haha.

I'm just hoping the app is wrong and it's somehow on the way, although I then need to get around to selling my wife's car and getting a door dent taken out thanks to somebody before I either part ex it or sell privately so would be nice to have a timeline.
 
Spoke with Toyota and started to get very nervous when he was clearly searching for an update and had to put me on hold for 10 minutes. Good news though! Despite both the app and logging on to my Toyota through a desktop still saying order processing and not even in build, it's on a ship right now! He said it will hopefully be ready for an end of July/early August handover. Just a shame none of the tracking is working so I'll never know where it is and reliant on my dealer to let me know when it will be ready.

Could he not tell you the name of the ship it was on? That way you could at least track and know when it gets into port

Get the name of the ship from Toyota on line and track it on Marine Tracker. Copy the coordinates into Google search bar and you'll see where your boat is en route. I did this and tracked my boat all the way to Bristol...
You'll then know more then Toyota as when I spoke to them I was told my boat was still at sea..... had pleasure in telling them that the boat had arrived the previous day!!

How long does it typically take once the car is in the In Transit phase to arrive at the dealer?

I was so excited that it was actually on the way I forgot all about that part. I emailed them yesterday afternoon and got a reply straight back.

It is currently on the Tarifa and sailing through the Mallaca Straight so still a fair way to go yet. Is there a way to see the future ports it will be calling at? Had a quick glance at several websites and they all show the past ports and the next destination but not further destinations. Would be nice to have an ETA of it arriving in the UK.
 
Just go on any maritime tracking site, pump in the ships name- and hey presto

The Tarifa is due to dock at Bristol approx 5th July - so it's likely you'll be looking at late July, early August delivery to you.
 
Who needs the retention certificate for a plate? Is it Toyota Online or the dealer that's doing the handover?
