GR86 GR86 Delivery Tracking and Collection thread

Until the car is on my drive I won't believe it. Apart from TGB saying WC 5th but then others being moved about already I still don't trust it. Dealer still hasn't phoned about the demo but I'm not chasing anymore. Sick of doing it.

I haven't had the notification about signing documents yet. Going to be a right kick in the nadgers if the car is ready for me and I can't collect it until TUK send me the documents to sign :/

I feel the same way...

My order was stuck on processing forever... and instantly went to Derby....

I had a test drive yesterday at Lincoln, Listers. And the GR handover specialist, Ben, thinks my car is due middle of December...

Originally there were 2 orders to Lincoln, but mine got lost on the system.... So I am the 3rd Lincoln customer with a GR86.

But I won't believe it until it's collection day to be honest!
 
When I spoke to online TGB the call centre person himself had no idea when mine would be delivered. He could only say “soon”. Mine is in the first batch. I think only God almighty knows the answer at this point. Whatever it is hopefully it is for the best for all of us. I got resigned to a new year present …
 
So just to clarify please…

If you don’t sort the 3 day free drive away insurance with Toyota there could be a delay in receiving your car as it cannot be registered?

Or have I misunderstood?
 
Finally got insurance confirmed as ok by Toyota via the order line. He also confirmed my car had a PDI today and I got a reg number.

Delivery next week to sunny Grimsby, marked down for the 7th, but he said there have been logistic issue, so take it with a pinch of salt!!!
 
I just phoned the local dealer and was told I should expect a call tomorrow to arrange final handover. Was optimistically hoping it might be ready to collect tomorrow, but nevermind. I'll just have to bunk off work sometime next week (hopefully) to go pick it up.

Out of interest is it showing delivered on your MyTapp as well? Just had a missed call from my dealer, but app still showing in derby so maybe it's just the welcome call I've been waiting half a year for from my dealer :LOL:
 
Mine was showing in derby when i checked at lunch, just got this, its happening

In my case the TUK Online came out the best. WBAC was the lowest of the ones I compared. I was offered the same as the TUK from a small specialist VW dealer but I would need to drop my current car with them first (they did offer to drive me to the dealer to pick up my GR86 though :))

Drat - was due to have a test drive tomorrow, but the car now has a puncture from the last test drive (own up, who was it?) They can't repair it and therefore have ordered a replacement tyre, which won't get here for a few days. :(

It has been saying arrived at dealer since early this morning.

My welcome call from the dealer a few weeks ago was asking if I would sell my slot to somebody else. Lowkey made me want to swap dealers but all the surrounding Toyotas are the same group.

Surely they can get one from blackcircles or the like for same day fitting? Sorry to hear this, wonder who's been drifting those tyres.

Those 215 section tyres are a bit of an oddball size, my GT86 and my Fiancees Swift Sport used uncommon sized tyres, you don't end up with lots of choice, must be a Japanese thing. I reckon I will end going with a 225 when the originals wear out, cheaper, more choice and the sidewalls won't look stretched.

I'll be switching to 225 40 18's as my brother's 86 runs them too so I can get discount from the Garage we use when I buy 8 at a time.
