GR86 GR86 Delivery Tracking and Collection thread

Hope you have been having a better experience at Macklin Glasgow than I had last week.

Test drive booked for Saturday past, told they would call to confirm Friday (no call, salesman was off 🙄) phoned late afternoon and told they hadn’t bothered to Pdi cause they didn’t know if it was a customers time or their demonstrator. Apparently I would receive a follow up call once they had figured it out. Still waiting.

I then received an update on my app to say that my car has left the factory! 🥳 What's anyones best/wild guess as to when I can expect to see it arriving at my dealer? I checked the website code on MyT but from what I can see the status is still pending.

Has the bonnet or front panel on this white car been resprayed? - colour looks way out
 
Just had an email from my dealer (I nearly fell out my chair in shock) saying that my car is scheduled to arrive 5th December. A few days for PDI and then it'll be available for collection.

I played it safe with the white as it’s a car for me and my wife. Both red and blue were in the mix though.

Will be seeing the red one when I get my test drive so hopefully don’t regret my choice 😬

That’s pretty poor and I hope they get back in contact with you soon. I’ve been dealing with Dylan and he’s been as helpful as he can be since my order went in.

The car came in to them around the 15th/16th and when I spoke to them they were hoping to arrange the test drive within the following week or so. I’m starting to suspect they are holding off putting it on the road until the start of December rather than having to tax it at the end of this month :unsure:

Yeah that’s what he told me when I spoke with him on the Thursday. Seemed a nice chap, had a positive first call. But gone downhill from there.

I’ve just given up trying to arrange a test drive anywhere it’s too much hassle.

The fact it was meant to be on the road Sat 19th and still isn’t I just can’t understand.

Hi yes I got the same! Not the best organising skills eh? I’ve asked for 11am Sunday but not heard back!

Mine is currently booked in for midday so I can imagine they either ask you to do it earlier or later 😂 sorry about that! I got a call from the guy I’m dealing with so might best to give them a ring if possible.

No problem- tbf if I just have half hour in the car that will be fine for me, but I will chase them up! Cheers
 
You've got to be joking. Few months ago I'd of been extatic about this but I'm absolutely gutted.

Was literally in processing earlier this week.

Thanks a lot Toyota, you truly are a disgrace

People with cars on ships being skipped by later orders is a bit off but hopefully the deliveries will be speedy for anything turning up soon.

Because I've gone and financed another car recently thinking I'd see it April '23 ish which is a complete waste of money, probably a loss of about £4k in the space of ~4 months looking at it. I'd of bought my old car out of its finance if I thought I would see the GR86 this year.

To be fair I might have a cancelled order, or it might sit in Derby for 6 months as appears to be the mandatory requirement for GR86's so far...
