Nice one. What colour did you go for?Wednesday pick up for me!
Unfortunately you need an aftermarket module for that. That does sound handy. Curious to see what options there are. I really fancy the mirrors folding upon locking/opening, will need to dig about.
Went for magnetite grey. I do like the red but have had a few red cars and fancied a change.Congrats - what colour did you go for?
Ice Silver. it will be the first one I’ve seen in that colour in the flesh. Can’t wait!Nice one. What colour did you go for?
You won't be disappointed!Ice Silver. it will be the first one I’ve seen in that colour in the flesh. Can’t wait!
Depending on where you’re located, Western Toyota in Edinburgh have one on display indoors.Ice Silver. it will be the first one I’ve seen in that colour in the flesh. Can’t wait!
And mine was the only Ice Silver so far (they claimed) delivered my Macklin Glasgow. But that was last month.Depending on where you’re located, Western Toyota in Edinburgh have one on display indoors.
I picked mine up in Hamilton. They said they'd handed over about 10 so far. Mine was the first red one. Majority were white or black. They had a white demo, I wonder if that influences people. And mine was the only Ice Silver so far (they claimed) delivered my Macklin Glasgow. But that was last month.

Mine went for a detail, no PPF though.I picked mine up in Hamilton. They said they'd handed over about 10 so far. Mine was the first red one. Majority were white or black. They had a white demo, I wonder if that influences people.
On another note, I was one of three who didn't want all the protective wrapping left on to take directly to detailers for PPF.
I got my first stone chip and it's above the door handle. Haven't even washed it yet, too busy trying to hit 1,000 milesMine went for a detail, no PPF though.
I collected mine form there and didn't have any problems. Since you've paid for the car, I would be quite insistent and demand to see it and a change in sales rep! I think a general issue is the dealers are only getting about £500 for handling the cars so they're not particularly invested in the process. I've had a few cars from that dealer so I think that influenced the handover process. My car arrived at the dealer holding compound at western Toyota in Edinburgh on Wednesday. Still haven’t seen the car and they still haven’t collected it (despite the fact it’s right across the road). Feel like they’re messing me about now as the sales chap getting my car keeps having customer appointments and moving me out. Complained to Toyota Online. Was supposed to have seen it yesterday and then again today … but now told next week as he’s busy.
Once you've driven it, all the ordering / dealer/ delivery problems just disappear behind a big cheesy grin!just inspected the car in person and it looked mint. Once I’d seen it and started it up, the fact it had done a few more miles disappeared. The car was clearly brand new and still had all the stickers on the windscreen and wrap you’d expect inside and out. Decided to go ahead and get it. Aiming for next weekend
I’ve bought two GT86’s from them over the last 6 years. They’ve had close to £60k off me but the handover process has been poor.I collected mine form there and didn't have any problems. I feel exactly the same. I’m so frustrated by it all I’m actually considering pulling the plug. Had 3 different responses by Toyota online and all different on what I need to do. It depends on who you get but the lack of clarification is frustrating. I have also felt like the mediator between Toyota and my dealer. I seem to be doing all the running about to get my car PDI’d and sort the payment out. I thought it would be easy paying by bank transfer to simply buy the car and it’s been a nightmare. Never again.Has anyone else felt the final stages of the sales process with Toyota online been quite poor?
My car has beeen waiting at the dealer for a week now and I’ve had to chase for the last few days to get things moving.
today I paid my deposit at 10:20am and haven’t received the finance documents for confirmation yet. I have confirmed the payment has been received after ringing them twice and now been told no drive away insurance (as stated in other threads) so I need to sort that.
The dealer has been responsive but has said they have to wait for the online team to approve things to move forward.
Trying to get hold of my sales rep from the online team has been really hard as he is working from home. Really not impressed, l’ve brought a lot of cars over the past decade and this is by far the worst and most stressful process I’ve been through.
What have other people felt?
Yeah nightmare is exactly the word I’d use. I’ve considered pulling the plug too. I’m baffled as to why Toyota online can’t do the PDI and deliver the car by truck like the cazoo/cinch model and simplify the process massively. Also paying the deposit without seeing the car first has been really uncomfortable for me, would be much happier with a independent escrow system.I feel exactly the same.
