I guess they've had plenty of time to find some space in the build schedule to churn out a few more cars for the UK seeing as they know they'll all get sold

What made me think cancellations were used is not one person has joined the forum saying they’ve landed on a cancelled order, I would’ve thought there’d be at least one person excited to tell everyone they got off the waiting list. Maybe someone has and I didn’t notice..

I had a Magnetite in Derby originally but not sure if it was re allocated when I told TUK I no longer wanted delivery this year. Maybe that will be one of the demos.
I've also changed my colour to Track bRed this week so I'm now at the back of the build queue.

But then people on waiting list could get their cars before those who ordered on the day.
Having that many demo cars is a bit excessive IMO. That’s 1 for every 9 orders on a sold out car. Just give half to people waiting on build slots.

Nope, I am 10.36am. A 10.24am went into build last week, 12 minutes before me. Hard to believe 12 minutes could mean a few weeks later!!
Spoke to Steven Eagell Chelmsford today, they received an email yesterday confirming their demo car should be delivered next week. They will be in touch with me to arrange a test drive once they've received it.
Meanwhile my nominated non-GR dealer is not interested in emailing me back.

I am 10.26 - still no progress
Maybe TUK will be rewarding the poor CS team, staff cars for them.
What bothers me is demo car numbers v not sorting out customers.
If there are more than a dozen units, then its a slap in the face for X people on the list. By that I mean if there were 60 cars, that’s 50 odd customers that SHOULD have been given priority over cars for demo, and onward as staff cars or resale.
When the delivery gates open it will be interesting to watch Auto Trader and see what is flipped. And in due course interesting to see what happens with the demo cars.

I am hoping like one of the previous rumours that the centres in that list will get the cars on a rolling basis so instead to 30 odd they may have 10 or something.
I would also hope to bell that those test cars will not be sold on before every pre-order has been completed!

I was a 10:21 confirmation and had my car move into build Saturday before last (6/11). It's still sat in build, but progress is progress!

I had a call back from my local GR centre, they are hoping to get the demo car on Wednesday 16th and once its physically there he'll give me a call to book a drive 
Seems an excessive amount of demo cars for the number brought the the UK, maybe they've increased allocation to UK or the demo cars dont count towards the 400 expected... guess we'll find out eventually.
I replied to the email saying I wanted to progress with the delivery but was also arranging a test drive.

Had a great call with Toyota this morning talking about part exchanges, finance deposits, private plates, test drives and delivery dates.
Sounds like the plan is to deliver all ~180 cars in the first batch during December. They’ll be releasing the cars over the course of the month as they don’t have a big team managing all the cars.
Deposits for finance will be asked for soon, but can be delayed until a few days before collection where necessary. Where part exchange is concerned, that can be organised separately (and by the sounds of it, all done in one day).

Did you call them, or they you? Just wondering if I should expect a call myself. I'm a cash buyer, so really I'd like to pay and get everything finalised to make sure the car arrives as soon as possible.
Also, "They’ll be releasing the cars over the course of the month as they don’t have a big team managing all the cars." - this already doesn't bode well. With the way things have been handled so far, I can easily see deliveries slipping too late for the car to arrive before Christmas.
