GR Yaris GR Yaris wins best hot hatch of last 25 years

Great video. I’ve owned both and agree with the winner. The Trophy was less than £15k new though (nobody paid list price), so was a bit of a bargain, especially as it’s still worth that now if you looked after it.

But when you look at the development cost and bespoke nature of the GR Yaris, it presents even better value for money. And so far residuals are doing better than the Trophy. I lost £4k (30%) in 2 years on mine.

playing devils advocate did it win because cars like this are no longer made....or because it was newer and was remembered better.....

...is it a "hothatch" or a "rally homologation" and be a different vote category?

on a personal level for me fun = my renaultsport clio 197

anyway well done toyota for making something others are not interested in making anymore and just produce suv fodder!

It's great that the car we own has been recognised by a media outlet. I already knew that. Our cars will become sort after because of the way it's powered and the R & D involved .
This car always puts a smile on my face, you just point in the direction you want to go and will do it. Unless you are leaving an illegal car meet. I still cannot understand how such a capable car ended up in a ditch.
