GR Yaris (Gen 2) GR Yaris Mk2 (MY2024->)

I just watched some of the videos. Here are my initial thoughts:

- I appreciate their emphasis on enhancing the overall cooling.
- The increase in power and the interior modifications for better visibility are impressive.
- I have ambivalent feelings about the seating position. IMO, the MK1's seating is already ideal, despite others' frequent complaints.
- I'm still not fond of the front fascia design; it seems incomplete, perhaps reflecting a current trend?
- The new interior dash layout is a letdown for me; it's reminiscent of the G80 M3, which I'm not a fan of. The analog gauges in the MK1, in my view, will stand the test of time more effectively.

Overall, my impression is positive, but the dashboard design is a significant drawback.

the new handbrake option seems to be only for RC model that is for JPN only?

Applying learnings from competing in the Japan Rally Championship, a change in the positioning of the parking brake is available as a factory-installed option for the competition-oriented RC trim level.

few details from AutoCar video
- stiffer front anti roll bar
- stiffer spring ratio (maybe mk1 was moving too much weight on tarmac for general public)
- Also drive mode selection and split has changed, even though not sure if that is true in Mk1 as it seems to vary itself also during driving there. but likely it has been adjusted for mk2.

Autocar video gives maybe more objective approach to subject, though bad mic sound in incar. try to tolerate

Ffs, after watching the carwow YouTube video this morning I now really want the updated version which is annoying as I have a mk1 currently on a boat from Nagoya.. my wife is going to be annoyed but I may have to order one.. The dash gives me 80s vibes with its squareness.

Will speak to my dealer this morning, just to see 😇

Expecting this to be nearer €50k though (original was €38k)

The following video at roughly the 2:30 mark gives a very good view of the dash layout:

It’s already growing on me. Damn it! Not happy.

Current Circuit Pack was already increased to around 62.000 euro here in Norway in 2023. So yeah.... Fun country to live in of you're into cars... 😢

This is going to be 70k here probably. If they will sell it here at all. Manual Supra is 106k
