GR Yaris (Gen 2) GR Yaris Mk2 (MY2024->)

Could you share a link tothe ship tracking? I think mine is on the same ship
I use the marine traffic app on IOS as it seems to be the only one I could find that didn’t charge for some half decent tracking info. Just downloaded and searched the boat and it’ll pin point the current or last pinged location.

Sorry should have said that Toyota UK have said on a call the majority in the UK are coming in Grey.
This is what they told me also, I had actually ordered in pearl white and was told I was the first one in that colour to be processed…. 2 weeks later changed my mind 🤦🏼‍♂️ happy I did though.

Haha yeah, Other colours are available apart from the ubiquitous grey!
My point was that if anyone wants to see a black car in the flesh they can.
Toyota Grimsby brought the demo car across from Hull for me to test drive. Surprisingly I’m the only person wanting a test drive within their group of three dealers. They’ve only sold one within the group too.
I didn’t think they was allowed to sell them within a group of dealerships and everything is managed from Toyota UK HQ?

All GR centres will get a demo that are coming in batches. If a dealership isn’t a GR centre then they can move the car over to them for test drives.

My dealer in Italy made me aware of it in advance, but I let it go.
Two red stripes and some gold on the wheels are not worth the difference in price with the standard full-optional auto car, in my humble opinion.
I even checked the booking page on 9th September, and it started working 40 mins late than planned, with a wrong disclaimer to be electronically signed (it was for booking a Land Cruiser).
Really a typical "Italian job" as they said in the other forum.
But they say they sold all 51 cars in one day, so good for Toyota Italy in the end.

Reading Evo magazine on my flight to Frankfurt this morning with the feature on the updated car and noticed they quoted 40000 GR Yaris had been sold so far. Also saw a Mk1 in Fridge white absolutely belting down the autobahn between Frankfurt and Stuttgart this morning chased by an M4 competition.

I don’t believe 40,000 to be correct, we know that the VINs are the build number and include the Rallye Shopper in Japan. My local dealership demo of the mk2 is VIN 27,665.

Didn't the 40k figure include a lesser specced auto Jap market only one too?

There have been 25k mk1's sold in Europe, than you have Asia and Australia as markets as well. Could well be that the 40k is without that FWD version.

No chance of 25k in Europe. UK was largest market with 5,000 cars.

Germany I think is around 2,000 and Switzerland might be over 1,000. Unless there’s been a big shift in numbers all other European nations were in low 100’s.

Australia was over 4,000.

It was "more than 20k"

"Since the model’s 2020 launch, more than 20,000 cars have been sold in Europe"

I know it’s the press office but I’d be happy to say that they probably mean worldwide.

Maybe worth another thread as the last data collected was on the other site and last updated in 2022 but how many sold in Belgium?

So:

UK 5,000
Germany 2,410
Spain around 1,000
Sweden 213
Finland 100?
Portugal 100?
Estonia had 157 registered by end of 2023. Still waiting on data for the 2024 deliveries (including mine). At a guess close to Sweden’s number.
