GR Yaris (Gen 2) GR Yaris Mk2 (MY2024->)

Yes it is lovely. It has black calipers. I wonder if they will get red ones when delivered.
I shaln't be getting Mk 2 but may be ready for Mk3. Hope the price doesn't jump the same amount from Mk2 to Mk3 as has just done from Mk1.

I second this, the color looks nice due to the lightning. It's the same color available to camry and so it happends my neibhour has a camry in this color and I did not like it. In my opinion, Lexus' atomic silver color is way better looking than this. I saw a hybrid yaris the other day in pearl white and it looks awesome in the sun!

That's great to hear!

Actually I was just teasing a bit @Norbi, because he ordered an auto Mk2 (I guess Precious Metal) and I ordered a manual white, so any opportunity is a good chance to revive our personal teasing battle...

Initially I was in doubt whether to go for the new grey color, but I finally decided for White after watching the many tests on snow and ice in Finland.
Without a strong light hitting it, the new color looks too much light grey to my personal taste, and maybe also too elegant for a wild sportscar like the GRY.
I'd probably have gone for grey if it were the same as Ogier Edition. I like it very much, being some shades darker than Precious Metal, and with that matte effect that looks great on this car (even if it looks quite high-mainteinance...)
So I'm happy with my white choice, and I hope it looks much better in real life than in photo as it is for my Mk1.

I went for gray and I also had hard time deciding, it looks very cool in some lighting conditions, while very meh in some. When I see the car in flash I'll decide if i will at least Stealth PPFit to make it more interesting.
 
I ordered a grey manual. Was a hard decision between red or grey. But i thought red seatbelts, stitching, calippers etc. Is too much red in the end 😅
 
Silver and gray always look great in good lighting and when they’re clean, but the novelty wears off very quickly, making them look boring otherwise. My M2C was a very similar shade to Hockenheim Silver, and by the time I sold it, I hated the color with a passion. To each their own, but white is right. I’m always sticking with white on this car. Sue me :D

Downside of having relative cheap mk2?

Unfortunately can't do so with cars, but when buying consumer electronics I research hard, buy and then remove any notifications and not visit any websites/forums and remain blissfully ignorant of any further developments and remain a happy user for years, until an actual need arises for renewal. Then either I haven't missed much really, or the next best thing is there and usually available already at a discount as the hype died down (ideally)....

In Sweden at least, it could have taken 6 years of mk1 ownership before I noticed a MK2 on the road 😁

There is still at least one new Mk1 in dealership in Slovenia, price advertised hasn't dropped, but I'm pretty sure they would give you some discount.

I also talked to someone that has Mk2 confirmed in production for June and arriving in Europe on August with the first batch of dealer test cars. It's a manual.

Just popped into pick up my rubber floor mats. There are now 6 parked up awaiting owners. Here are three of them;

Out of interest do you know what they’re priced at? And how does that compare to OTR price when ordered? As any in the UK that are fresh with delivery mileage dealers are asking somewhere in the region of 38k-42k depending on colour.

Povo pack car on the same lot is up for 35900 euros on the road is approx 30k in GBP

Circuit Pack is up for approx 42k Euro on the road is approx 36k in GBP (Which is what I paid 2 months ago when my car arrived after 15 month wait)

With a few of them there I expect you could get a discount. Final prices are dictated by Toyota Baltics though (mine was)

Funnily enough Ott's other rally preparation business for privateers that he owns (RedGrey) is running 3 GR Yaris Rally2 cars! 1 for Georg Linnamäe and 2 for the Japanese TGR programme. I keep driving by everyday on the way to work as its 3km up the road from me but have not seen inside yet!
