GR Yaris (Gen 2) GR Yaris Mk2 (MY2024->)

why in the description of the hks exhausts it says: Not compatible with vehicles with 17-inch wheels or rear constant speed differentials??? the circuit or high performance have LSD so they are not suitable?
I think it’s a japan only model they are referring to . GR Yaris is only delivered with 18inch wheels.
I have ordered the super turbo exhaust for the mk2.

Actually the strange thing is that the article ends up by stating that this evolved GRY is now on sale in Europe

iMT is awesome.

I’m pretty old-school, and I’ll admit there’s a certain satisfaction in rev-matching manually. But the reality is this: if you care about the longevity of your clutch and drivetrain components, the computer simply does it better.
That is, unless you use double clutching which spares the syncros on another level and the iMT doesn't master at all (no clutch control), and also unless you slightly under rev-match, a slight backwards drag on the clutch actually helps keeping the clutch surfaces fresh and grippy, preventing glazing of the surface in one direction which can increase unwanted slippage under engagement which increases clutch wear....

Humans can win over iMT, but I imagine the number that do better are increasingly rare, never seen another driver that did this consistently except Dale Lomas, the number that slam in the gears however....

Tech wins with the DAT, no wear to speak of. Same with (off-topic) N e-shift, maximum enjoyment with per definition zero clutch and syncro wear.

Because Europe hasn’t received any of the GR/TRD parts that were available in Japan.
yes but a software update is different…. I think they always start from Japan… if this version arrives in Europe, will the software also be updated on the my24?

I was thinking the same - with all this WLTP stuff - although Seb and Kalle models were sold here even though they are likely having worse WLTP performance compared to standard models and thus should be type approved. maybe they got rid of that thanks to small numbers of sold cars. If they can sell something to regular cars as a equipment can be another story,

Recently my Yaris developed pretty annoying double rattle at lower rpms in slow traffic in the front of the upper dash... well at least I thought it was from there! I've found old video about sunvisor mirror cover rattle of previous gen and found out it is the rattle I was looking for! Thankfully it wasn't something in the dash, I'll try to bolster it with some piece of paper.

Next up: ENT doctor visit because I swear to god it sounds like its coming from the dash!

The most anoying rattle for me i think comes from the passanger ceiling microphone, on the MK2, A wire or something.
