GR Yaris (Gen 2) GR Yaris Mk2 (MY2024->)

There is a cut out in the glovebox near where it closes, for a usb cable to come through from the passenger usb port.

Lane assist only works with cruise.
I could have sworn there is also a USB port in the cubby above the glove box as well? Or am I going mad?

Mine arrived at dealer today. Collection is arranged for Saturday assuming all the necessary payments are made! Looks good though. MT for me.

Still disappointed we don’t get options for front and rear sensors, red seat belts and heated seats but I’m sure that’ll all be forgotten about once I’ve run it in and opening her up!

Have you had any comms with Toyota UK? All I’ve had this afternoon is “We will be in touch in due course to discuss the next steps of your order.”

The dealer has completed all their actions, including PDI so it’s ready to hand over the keys as soon as Toyota UK say so question is how long is a piece of string?

Hi Robin, so I had a call from the dealer to confirm it had arrived, he said he’d notify Toyota UK immediately that he’d like to complete the handover on Saturday within 10 minutes Toyota UK called and then confirmed it had arrived all was good, told me they’d send me the required payment details and the required info to organise insurance before Saturday.

Originally Toyota UK did say they told the dealer they needed at least 3 working days before they’d be able to organise the handover but dealer said he’d like to complete asap. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Also asked Toyota UK about the limited edition ones, apparently they had all been allocated but surprise surprise they apparently don’t know how many there were. 🤦🏼‍♂️ they seem to keep their cards very close to their chest with regards anything GR Yaris, waiting list numbers, how many cars have been allocated to the UK, how many limited editions there are. Very strange.

Strange. My dealer informed Toyota UK but I had nothing so reached out to them to be informed yes the dealer had informed them. They then sent a vague email about paying but with no details on so I had to request payment details (all done on email no calls) I’ve then paid and the “we’ll be in touch” message was the response to payment confirmation…..

Can’t fault the dealer at all in this process and throughout I have wished I could cut out the middle man of Toyota UK seems it’s hit and miss as to who you get as to the response.

Perhaps try and call them tomorrow? They seem to answer the phone quickly and seem to be quite informative when you do speak to someone.

Called them, had a moan about the vagueness of emails with no direction as to what is meant to happen, they gave some useless answers to everything and I hung up.

Buying a car should be simple and it was when I could deal with a dealer direct.

Shocking! It’s so infuriating that they manage the whole operation. If it was for any other car I’d have walked away many times. They also don’t do drive away insurance just for a few days either.

I can’t say I used the drive away insurance last time but it would probably make registering the car a non issue.

My insurance has gone down so it cost me nothing to change 😳

Visited my detailer today, here is the "sample" stealth xpel ppf fitted do a part of the car if anyone is curious.
I feel the car looks amazing in gloss, but satin look might fit very well - closer to Ogier edition.
Zoom into picture.
