I spent the first six months babying the car because the current going price here in Japan is more than I paid. Then I remembered why I bought the damn thing...and now I just drive itI am so pleased it’s an auto. Absolutely zero interest from me, and will be reflected in the residuals of the original too.
If this does happen, calling it a ‘Mk2’ is a bit of a stretch!![]()

Like I said earlier call it a GT Yaris and watch the world gush in amazement at a completely new car.If this does happen, calling it a ‘Mk2’ is a bit of a stretch!![]()
If you have a read through the thread, you’ll see we’re a little way from knowing if, what, when and where! Watch this space.Hello
I have only just seen the article regarding the 2024 upgrade of the GR Yaris will the UK be getting this if so when can you order one.Thanks.
As we’ve been discussing Toyota will get a £15k fine per car that exceeds the new EV rules that come into force in January. An auto Yaris or even a new manual will likely be closer if not over £40k so will Toyota UK just say no or will they then charge £55k with the fine?Hello

We will know more on January 12th. Probably sales will start from March onwards with first deliveries taking place in September 2024.

As has been mentioned somethings clearly happening but if the UK or Europe will see something is anyone’s guess.
And of course now I’ve written all this I’m probably wrong.
If it weighs sub 1250kg it could be interesting. Though would prefer 260hp n/a with 8500rpm redlineThe only other car I’m interested in is a rumored GR86 with the GRY engine. Instant buy.
