GR86 GR 86 Orders

Just to let you know that there will be a further allocation available soon.
If anyone is genuinely serious in securing one of these then please DM for further information when it comes available.

Regards
Richard
Any numbers you can share.. common as muck these cars are getting.. Having second thoughts about mine which is in the Suez Canal 😋

Are there further allocations or is this just mopping up cancelled/ unordered car? I suspect the later. Why would they bring in more cars with a deadline to register just a few months away?

Dicey part of the trip given we know the technique some captains employ in there….

Hopefully it’s all smooth going and you, along with everyone else who are patiently waiting for your cars manage to get your hands on the cars before the weather is well and truly shite until next spring 🤞🏻👍🏻

Looks like no longer limited edition - I'll continue to enjoy the car though, even if it's not as rare as they thought it would be

Looks like open to all, therefore no longer just those on the waiting list, from 3rd October till 17th October. No Auto.

Doesn't sound like there's loads/unlimited stock available from the wording used here.

But who knows.

Part of me enjoyed the initial perceived rarity aspect of the car, but a growing part of me would really like everyone who genuinely wants one to be able to have one.

Caveat: Flippers can, as always, get to f**k.

Anyway, surely anyone fancying one can just pop to the dealers/docks/an owner's driveway and help themselves, what with the now apparent paucity of security features.

I’m inclined to agree with Mr Fox. My earlier joking aside it does have a whiff of a handful of the second allocation not finding owners from the waiting list.

My guess is likely due to a combination of reasons. Increased purchase price and more costly finance. Interested parties having bought other cars in the period between announcement and additional allocation availability. Those who didn’t gel with the car during a test drive (I mean it doesn’t even have a turbo). There could also possibly be people put off by concerns about RTV etc. Then finally perhaps availability of preferred colour option the final nail as TUK got down to the final dozen or so cars.

All speculation of course.

All sounds very feasible to me.

Also. small sports cars (especially ones that aren't Porsches), and particularly in this day and age, are a very niche product so the market for the GR86 is never going to be massive, regardless of availability.

Would that be the Morning Calypso by any chance? Mine’s on that one too if it is
Yes.. it’s due into the canal first thing by the look of it.. it’s been loitering with intent since this afternoon

I was originally told I’d get it around the 18th October, phoned them last week and it’s now looking like end of October/November, right around when the weather will be crap! Although at this point I think I’d just rather be driving it no matter what! 😉
