Wondering if the non-JDM markets have anything going yet. What we're hearing here in Japan (from a major player in the game) for the Gen 2 is OTA encryption to get through the DCM, and possibly module-to-module encryption, so bench writing is going to be difficult, too...

Maybe just a JDM thing, as the cars here have a more aggressive track mode and anti-lag that can only be activated when on a JAF circuit or rally (GPS enabled). Like something required to put that stuff in the ECU... Or maybe Toyota got tired of all the people popping pistons after a tune and then trying to claim warranty :)

I assume that track mode and anti-lag are on all cars just not activated. I wonder if the tuners will be able to unlock control for them in the future?

Well, Ecutek already enabled antilag on the original ECU so it's definitely capable of it.

Be interesting to see if Toyota have indeed tried to further harden the new ECU.
