I have recently experienced mechanical clunk noise when changing first 3 gears. It happens when I slowly let off the clutch after changing gear. Did any of you experience this? My car is brand new (800km), the noise appeared since I got it basically. The noise is more emphasized when changing from 1st to 2nd.

Please let me know

mine makes sound but not so often. Have found it belongs to car's soul to some extent, i.e. not really annoying.
Agree, but somehow it sound like it skips something, not sure if its right. I will film it, then upload it here. Let me know if its same for you.

Mine feels like there is too much gearbox movement...when I release the clutch slowly it feels like the gearbox turns for around 10 degrees. Dont know if its the engine mounts...but compared to my old Honda it feels like the engine / gearbox sits a little lit inside the front.

Car is not made for slow gear changes ;)

My car is now 11 months and 12 k and has had linkage noise occasionally when selecting gears and 1st 2nd changes . As an old vintage man I kind of like the noises as it means there is not too many layers of sound deadening and rubber in linkage! Nice mechanical noise !

I agree, I like hearing the fact I’m manipulating bits of metal to move against each other. Modern cars are too good at isolating you from the oily bits under your control, abstracting you from the engineering.

Hearing this better is just one advantage of turning of the fake engine noise.

I don’t hear clunks though, just normal gearbox-y type noises, to me a bit like pre-1980s car, or a lathe gearbox.
