GR Yaris Gearbox and diff oil

Nice info from Torsen, but it was not directly ment for Yaris gr. My own personal opinion is that the LS is there if any of the oil leaks in to the Carbon clutchpack it will not do any slip/harm. Do not thing they would do it because of the sounds. The car is noisy anyway…

Do whatever you're comfortable with.

I think that scenario is slightly more likely, but still very unlikely, as the gearbox oil contaminating the engine oil. They are different physical closed off enteties. Even one leaking doesn't mean it can intrude the others. See also my post here and the link linked therin that tests this exact scenario.
 
So, would SLS 75W-140 be better than DGL 75W-85 LS for both the transfer case and differential in very hot climate?
 
Did I read this thread correctly?

Ravenol asked directly about oil spec who refers the question to a "performance workshop" who thinks the front diff is in the transfer case?

Yes. And Toyota Workshop. And cooling kits that are said to be designed to cool the oil in the clutch pack, but that actually cool the rear diff oil instead. Aftermarket turbo manufacturers that talk about the OE turbo as being journal bearing when it's in fact ball bearing - claiming they have upgraded it?

Just when you think you've seen it all, new surprises come :D
