Exhaust sounds really good! And now I’ve seen a square plate on the rear I want one too 😂

I’ve seen the factory sports exhaust mentioned elsewhere - what is that, and is it equivalent to any of the available aftermarket ones?? Anyone heard it or have any links to clips? Is it still resonator + rear silencer? I’m guessing it isn’t switchable.
I’d love a little bit more noise but can’t really be doing with something that sounds or looks too aftermarket
From watching the various YouTube clips of available systems, I don’t think I’ve quite heard a ‘goldilocks’ one yet.
Think the Cobra resonated is as close as I’ve heard to what I’m looking for - has anyone any experience of these??

It’s USDM only, made by K&N and expensive and tricky to get shipped to the UK.

I can neither confirm nor deny that a Cobra such as this may or may not be making an appearance under my car on Saturday . . .

Yeah that's my car :) After 3k miles I am still loving it, its not too loud, not too quite.

Sometimes I regret not going for the non-res, but I guess it would be too loud most of the times.

I do not have any fly by video (should make at some point tbh), but I can tell you my partner says that she can hear me from far when arriving home.

First time upgrading the exhaust and spoke to my local MOT garage and he said he has to be careful as he isn’t allowed to fit exhausts which are considerably noisier than stock. Worth noting if you looking to upgrade and you normally go to a trusted MOT garage. There are ways around it but thought it was worth sharing.
 
Made the trip over to RRG Toyota in Macclesfield (290 something round trip) to have the Cobra sport cat back exhaust fitted today and it sounds brilliant. Might get a cold start video tomorrow (if I remember), also had the noise generator switched off in software.

(Incidentally, in case you're wondering why I went over there to have this fitted, it was from their GR86 demonstrator which they are putting back to standard, so was effectively second hand and cheaper than new)

I've just been out for a rather "spirited" drive and was getting a little concerned; kept hearing a popping noise every so often while coming into corners, thought maybe part of the suspension was loose. Suddenly realised it was happening after blipping the the throttle while downshifting, and coming from the exhaust. Nothing much, not a full of crackle or backfire, but I didn't expect it from just a new catback :D

Also get this from the Remark Axle back. Think the car just wants to pop from factory, but needed to be let off the reigns a tad!
 
Been living with my HKS Legamax Sports cat back for a while now. I can say that I am completely satisfied with it!

The volume of the engine can be solely controlled by your right foot, utterly silent when on low load but definately audiable when on high rpm or low rpm with open throttle

Great for someone looking for an exhaust that sounds like it could have come from the factory but with great flow rate still
