GR Yaris engine ECU tweaking

You really only have 2 choices in my opinion. Stand alone ECU like the Motec or Syvecs . EucTek tune.
So, it's probably going to come down to how much you can afford to spend and the modifications you are running.
Considering you live in Australia I would stick to the Motec. Add $1000-$1500 for the tune.
I am running the Motec M142. I am happy with the result. Hugh difference compared to stock. Outright power is just one advantage. Be prepared to suffer a noticeable drop in fuel economy.
The EcuTek was not available at the time I fitted the M1 so I have no way of comparing the 2.

can anyone post some dyno sheets before / after with tuned stock ecu?

im going down this road this summer, but i dont want to tune for numbers, i want some decent torque upgrade from 2000 rpm and a flat curve. peak torque even could be the same, that´s not my target....+ some more power at higher rpm....so could this be achieved with stock ecu? or is it just the boost that is ajusted with stock ecu mapping? so we get a "parallel displacement" with some more NM ?
Can you choose when tuning stock ecu? Do they adjust fuel + ignition or just boost?

Peak boost with my ecutek tune was only raised 1-2 psi, the top end gains are from not bleeding boost off as rapidly as stock. Fuel and ignition timing is also adjusted. Noticeable torque increase.

Hi. I've basically got "similar mods" to above. Stock car, MST v2 intake (only), tuned on ECUTEK and my car made 182wkw on a roller dyno, which is about 190-193kw on a hub dyno. The torque gain is the most impressive but and makes the car very drivable. My understanding is a downpipe and intercooler will get me to about 195-197wkw roller dyno. I truly believe that's plenty of power for the road in a 1200kg hatchback. If you going all out standalone ECU would be ideal.
