GR Yaris Does GRY backfire?

Mine pops and bangs.. I fitted a turbo smart dual port dump valve and opf delete pipe with none Res system back.

It doesn't usually. However last night I was trying to overtake on the Woodhead Pass in the dark. Floored it in 2nd then realised I couldn't see well enough so had to slam the brakes on. It went bang! All noise really. Thankfully it doesn't do the idiotic crackle and pop thing. If the exhaust is hot, you will get the odd rumble when coming off the throttle.

Oh really? That’s great! Do you have a video per chance? As I will be fitting mine with Akrapovič OPF delete and a full titanium Akrapovič system. Do you think it’s gonna pop here and there on mine too?

Nice, that’s all I want, a pop here and there. I absolutely HATE constant popping when coming of throttle and stuff like that

I like pops but not all the time, it would be nice to have some when really hammering the car, but definitely not all the time or when just cruising around. But overall the car sounds great, love the "rushing of air" sound. Also the turbo sounds could be louder.

Intake helps you with Turbo sounds. Im with stock airbox and totally happy with intake puffs. Have taken out all the sound deadening that likely increases the sounds compared to stock

Had a bit of a blast today, first time I've had the exhaust properly hot.
Was getting whoofs and coughs out the exhaust on gearchanges and abrupt lifts of the throttle, but no actual pops. Need to set a camera up and see if any flames made it through.
Fujitsubo exhaust, GPF still there, MST intake.

I'd be careful what you wish for. I've got a supercharged Honda S2000 & when it was 1st set up & mapped it was spitting flames & backfiring if I held it in 2nd or 3rd gear before flooring it. This initially seemed quite cool, but after the flames started to melt my bumper, I got my map tweaked & my bumper repaired & resprayed 😂

The paint on the GR is quite thin & the rear bumper is made of paper mache, so I'm not sure I want flames anywhere near it 😂

I get the occasional bang on shifts, nothing excessive... Akrapovic pipe with link pipe/GPF delete and Eventuri.

I have HKS Super Turbo Muffler, if you go heavy on the throttle then release it slightly and get back on the throttle again, very occasionally it will pop.
