Always best to test your new car out first, before you start modifying it.
At least for the first 30 days, in case you need to reject it for a serious fault, using the consumer rights act.
A friend of mine changed the tyres on a used car in the first week, to a brand he preferred, and then lost that money when he had to reject the car 2 weeks later as the dealer could not fix the heater.
