Also @Mushy if you can send or post up on here the pics of the 4 white GR's together off Insta.
Mine is one of the 4. (y)

One day I might get to meet you (I'm the lad who works with Tim) :p
Haha. One day Tim might get to come with me.

The above statement was from my original post in January.

We were invited to participate in this event because we made it clear to the organisers that we are a good group of enthusiasts, who could be trusted and bring something different to the event.

It's very disappointing to report that I've just been on the phone with the organiser who has video footage of approx 5 GR's that attended on Sunday driving like idiots. I haven't seen the footage yet, but it was taken from the surrounding B roads by a locals when you left.

We can't tolerate this type of behaviour, it's anti-social, selfish, dangerous and threatens future events from taking place. I'm told all registration numbers are clearly visible and if you are on the forum you won't be allowed to join future events or be involved in future forum activities.

Finally a thank you to all those who attended on Sunday and acted like grown-ups, you are welcome to join us again at future events.
Did anything come of this in the end? Was there another video other than that pretty mild YouTube one?

I'm still waiting for the video footage from the organiser. 🤷‍♂️
I suspect it's the same footage that you posted at the time...

It seems very odd that the organisers were quick to get on the phone to you, but have yet to provide evidence

If the YouTube video is indeed the evidence, then it's easy pickings for the organisers to have a moan at someone, as we were the only car club there from memory, The organisers can't pick up the phone to Joe Bloggs and moan about his driving in his Skyline, RS2000 or whatever as they have no contact details, but they have yours.

Personally, even if nothing more comes of this, i.e. no additional footage, then I won't bother wasting my time going there again, if this is their take on things. I would much rather go to another Tegiwa or similar meet where is it just GR's.

We'll see where we are in a couple of months time, but I would much rather be talking about the positives of an event next time - which was the case here until the phone call.

The Tegiwa one was great & Demon Tweeks have a massive car park, if anything more comes of that (y)

I like the format of the event, and really enjoy seeing cars other than GRs there. I also thought we all looked great as a display too, and added something to the event. It does leave a bit of a bitter taste if the organiser has a go at us because we were prominent and they have our contact details though…

I agree, car shows are always good & the GR does attract a lot of attention. Richard McKay, Lauren & myself went to one of the Capesthorne Hall events last year and it was a great day out. They very much allowed areas for car clubs & there was loads of weird & wonderful cars on display.

If I can I'll try to get to this one, but it's a bit of a trek from Cheshire.

There's loads of stuff all over the place, Tatton Park (which is easy to get to for many of us in the NW) have various events:

Just suggestions, obviously, we can can't do all of them & I can't do this myself anyway.

After the shenanigans with our driving 'behaviour' at this event, I did find it ironic watching traffic cops the other day when a bloke gets stopped at Chester Lakes, albeit not for speeding. :p

From 11:30 on the vid below.
