GR86 Brake Caliper Paint

I've had some repair job done on alloys on the daily car, so after collecting I asked the chap if he paints calipers too. He did and the price was suspiciously low, so I had to ask if he takes them off for painting etc. to which he replied "no, due to brake fluid leaks that will happen and leak on the paint".

I guess I should steer clear from him then? I checked his socials and looked at previous jobs, at least he takes the pads out before paining (I made an error in the past and went to someone who didn't at absolutely botched it), but I saw bits that probably shouldn't be painted, e.g. metal clips, mounting bolts even brake hose... all covered in bright red

Now where do I find someone who does it as meticulously as Nigel?

For those who have kindly shared pics, do you have any where you can see the whole car? In isolation all look good, I'm interested to see the body Vs wheels situation. Thank you

Does anyone know of anywhere in Scotland that does this properly?
I’ve been researching this again myself. There is a place in Paisley called Wheel Repair Scotland and they offer either a brakes on or a brakes off service. They might be worth an enquiry?
Unfortunately, after seeing the inside of my calipers and the over-spray around the area, I can’t recommend Skidz for this service.

Gave them a call, to remove and powder coat = £600-£800

To paint without removal = £180 with a 1 year guarantee.

For those of you who are using the car on the track, be aware that Foliatec (or any other DIY paint) will burn (turn black) in just a few hot laps (at least with the stock calipers and decent semislicks). Powder coating is the way to go (I managed to burn that too, but in several years).
