car now sold for 29k . 5k miles . (included remark exhaust, full all round splitters, duck tail spoiler, rear aero cover, rear window extension from Maxton, GR Rubber Boot cover ). So probs lost around 2/3k in 3 years... not bad.

yeh , done alot of research! mine has had 2 new doors fitted and so not much more i can do now. everything looks good apart from a bit of rubber seal loose near the engine , i assume because of the heat. i just hope the 2 doors are new manuf doors and not 2 old doors from factory but i suspect...

exactly. If they have to take the car apart to fit it then although the email reads as 'the alarm' not being covered , i'm not sure i'd trust them with warranty claim if something did happen to a different part of the car. Same as you , i'm not either .

i'm not going to do it . not fair on the vendor of the alarm knowing if you might not actually go ahead with it. if we get it , we get it . Im not that bothered.

also had my response from Toyota - obv now with the number of us emailing they have now the generic response of basically - 'no alarm, 3rd party, not covered by warranty, provide invoice and they will pay out' . They have stopped the £500 payment so we'll likely all have to go through ombudsman...
