I don’t know but what I do know is that a new Ranger Raptor, that comes with a 5 year warranty in most other countries has only 3 years here. To extend to 5 years costs thousands. And with Ford reliability, we all get that. So it’s definitely by-market. They would have no doubt increased prices...
Hey guys. Just in case anyone is interested, I’m considering selling up. Mine is a bit different from most. Here’s the details and some photos from last year. It literally has not stopped raining for two months so can’t do new photos until it does.
Key points:
73 plate bought new Oct 21 2023...
I’m not sure if you all know this so thought I’d share, maybe for the next car: when I bought mine back in Oct 23 I put down the maximum allowable deposit and paid cash for the extras. I want the safety net of GFV that PCP gives (consider EV price collapses). Then, after taking ownership I...
Thought I’d share my drama so you don’t have to. Your interior map lights, if left on, never turn off. Went to start my car for the first time in two weeks today and no charge whatsoever. As in nada. Wife has a PHEV so no easy access to battery in that to attach jump leads. Fished out an old usb...
Your expectations seem reasonable. Mileage might put some off also as these cars are oftentimes used as novelties with lower than daily driver miles on them. Personally, I’d take all the mods off and sell separately. They have value, but whilst on the car are not only worthless (unless someone...
Thanks to all those that replied. Having taken it all on board I have decided to leave as is. I’m really interested in the next special out of Toyota and can just wait given how little time I get to ever take any car out these days. The upcoming Corolla will be too common for me so that’s...
Hey guys. I love my 86 but would love it more if it went as fast as it looks. I also prefer forced induction cars.
I have been waiting to see what happens with the rumoured Celica/MR2 but it seems we won’t even see a prototype until Jan 2027. This is all just too far off. So I have been toying...
Good write up. Having owned an F87 M2 myself, I would put the GR86 above it. I sold my brand new M2 after only 5 months because it just wasn’t the baby M4 it alluded to. Power dipped off way too soon and the seats were the most uncomfortable I’d ever experienced. The N55 engine did sound great...
Having had a fair few Civic and Integra Type Rs I can tell you: getting the power down on wet roads (9 months a year in the U.K.) ruins the fun. Big time. My last was a supercharged FD2 and before that a lightly tinkered FK2. I had no desire to buy the FK8 due to its looks. The FL5 would have...
If it is the Corolla I’d be interested. But only if it has the latest 2.0 engine and not the same car that’s out now, and has been out for ages. A new version is expected and I would assume that one is being built in the U.K. Can’t see them setting all the tooling up for an outgoing model...
I seem to be in the minority here. Please bear in mind I’ve owned many Japanese cars - most of the rally heroes etc and most Honda Type Rs (not NSX). Finally getting hold of a GRY from a scalper in 2021 was all a big disappointment for me. Firstly, I don’t like the look of them. Far too much...
I have the Blitz one bought from Fensport. I didn’t want oiled potentially messing up MAF sensor. Straight swap out in under a minute. Throttle response seems better but any performance gains will be placebo effect. Same for induction noise. Zero change.
I’ll tell you what I did today: cleaned bird sh1t off my car as I do every other day lately. Clearly there is a curried bird feed van nearby with a dubious food hygiene rating. We’ve all been there, in human form.
BTW, Gtechniq clear ceramic spray is ideal for such tasks. First go: get it...
