GR Yaris Rear left outer cv joint

I've bought the driveshaft. Found it cheaper from 4turbo than what it would have cost from toyota here in france. Still 700€ ... I'm not in a hurry to mount it though as I don't drive the car alot rn ...

GR Yaris Rear left outer cv joint

Hello, I have unfortunately ripped the cv joint of the rear left driveshaft on wheel side (from what I understand, the outer cv joint ?) After discussion with toyota, they tell me that only the cv joint on differential side is available as spare part and I have to change the whole driveshaft...

GR Yaris GR Yaris from France

Yo, Did a drift trackday this sunday. Track was not wet enough and it was my first time doing it. GYSS have too much grip for the exercice so I ended up using handbrake a lot. Was fun and managed to do some nice slides still ! And yes my video set up is pure trash. I probably won't do...

Regarding torque pro for better oil temp reading on track, I realized you can just set-up audible alarms. So next track day I'll put an alarm at 120° so I cool down right away. It'll be the best solution in case my phone holder does not do its job.

GR Yaris engine cooling under body panel

I have fitted the duct. I added a grill to protect the engine from stones ect that may go through the duct so it may be less efficient. I can say that the car warm-up at the same speed. I'll give a more detailled feedback when I'll have blasted/ tracked it a bit.

GR Yaris GR Yaris from France

Finally did the DIY air duct ! Very happy with how it looks. I have yet to try getting the car warm enough to see an effect since I have also done pads, brake fluid, good cleaning of calipers & discs. I need to bed in pads properly so no blasting for now. We measured discs and they are not...

GR Yaris Alignment, Camber and handling related talks

It seems to be quite random though, with similar toe and bolt I have -2°27' front and -2.0° rear, quite symmetrical...

You can probably have a little display for oil&trans temp while running a timing app. I'll try it !

GR Yaris GR Yaris from France

That's really great. I used to do this my old GT86, I had a screen instead of the stock display and I used torque pro on it. I read that it was hard to get torque pro to work on android auto, guess I'll need a proper phone holder in such case  I wonder what would survive the G forces on...

With 400hp and slick tyres, full cage, ohlins ... No way you follow this with a yaris on worn PS4S and just an alignment !

GR Yaris GR Yaris from France

So, quick update to what's going on with the car. Vibration under braking haven't totally gone away. I booked a visit to my trustable (it happens sometimes) shop, they are going to inspect the brakes, bleed them properly with RBF600. I'm pretty sure stock pads left pads deposits on the discs...

GR Yaris GR Yaris from France

Ah you are a lucky guy. I went to your countryside several times and there's indeed lovely pieces of road everywhere. I used to live in Cantal, near Aurillac, so I had my share of back roads. Now unfortunately I'm in the Vexin Francais, not far off Magny en Vexin. There is small roads where you...

    GR Yaris Handling upgrades

I went for EF1SS since at the time I bought my tyre there were too few review on PZ5. You're making me regret my choice a bit ! One more reason to abuse my F1SS though :p

    GR Yaris Handling upgrades

That's the way to go. You should have between -1.9° and -2.0° rear camber (I had 1° 59' left and 2° 01' right). The toyota bolt I cited brought front camber to -2° 27' which is pretty nice. I recommend them.
